I don't think this is doable. Supplies to horn is 3 total days.
Day 1: Choose supplies and "Scour the city for anyone willing to sell supplies"
Day 2: "Go with Oddleif to the location on the note"
Day 3: "You consider your next move."
Which means that if you want the horn or supplies, then you either have to ignore the caravan, or leave Ivar to his own devices (no Krumr).
I wanted to add something to the "general tips" section. Every camp has a "training" option - a fight, that does not give your characters injuries or renown, BUT it does give them kills. It heavily reduces the stress of getting kills evenly across characters. Also you can feed couple of kills to your new guys, so that they would be more useful in their first real fight after their first level up/
