Note, I will be leaving some things blank as I have either yet to gain them or I have not used it enough to find a use (Such as a flashlight)

How to avoid being like the guy in the image.

First thing, which I can't stress enough
What does this mean? Unless you're the best player in the world -- Which you're not -- chances are you're not going to be able to take on the Killer and activate all 5 (sometimes 10) generators by yourself. I'm going to talk over some items and what you should use them for instead

Medkit
ONLY ever use the Medkit for yourself. You can already heal team-mates if you don't have one. And if you do have a med-kit, congratulations, you're roll is to now be a baiter. Take hits for your team mates, distract the monster, save your team mates. Your team-mates most likely won't have the ability to heal themselves, and if they're on half health and a killer is chasing them? Run infront of the killers path and divert him. Eventually you'll loose them. But with a medkit, you are the new bait.

Repair Kit
Whilst the most obvious use for the repair kit is to repair generators faster, that's not what you should be using it for. Whilst yes, at a slower speed you can still repair generators, you can't break hooks or sabotage traps without it. So you do that, run around and take as many hooks out of the game as possible. If you use two repair kits or even one, the Killer is going to struggle to find a hook, leaving it possible for the guy who he's dragging along to escape. Now, if you see a trap next to a hook, sabotage the trap, not the hook. Why? Well, if the Killer is chasing you, lure him around that trap so once he captures you and takes you to that hook, he just got a taste of his own medicine.

Map
The map allows you to see generators around the map, so use it and go around repairing generators.

Use your eyes
This seems obvious, but it comes in use. Trees and rocks don't load at a certain distance, however the Killer does, meaning you can "Sky-Line" him. Sky-Lining is once you use the fog to your advantage to spot someone easily. This can be used to find team-mates. Now, for medium range, it isn't all too hard to spot a massive goliath move throughout the fog.

When you hear your heart
When you hear your heart, attempt to run. If as you're running, the thumps are getting louder, this means you're either running towards him or he's chasing you. Best course of action at this point? Hide. Place your back to the wall, hide behind a rock or tree, or in some tall grass or just in a corner. But DO NOT hide in a storage unit. Why? Whilst Killers don't often search them, if he saw you, he will and you won't be given the chance to run away. If you're hiding in grass or behind a rock, you can run away.

Mid-Chase
Whilst the most scummy tactics ever, if you're in chase you can easily out run the Killer. The map will either have a tree in the middle or a large building with double windows. Vault back and forth of those windows until the Killer gets board or weave in and out of trees. If you're not at the middle of the map, find a group of rocks or scrap and play Ring-Around-ARosies with the killer. If he places down a trap, thats your golden window. Most maps also either have a double story building or some levalated hills. Lead him up there and jump off. You don't take fall damage and you'll get the advantage as you're expecting it. No matter what you do, don't purposely get your team-mates into harms way. Keep them in sight, yes, but never lead the killer towards them purposely.

Hiding in plain sight.
Like previously mentioned, you can hide in tall grass, behind rocks or trees or in fog, however the best place to hide sometimes is in plain sight. Remember that hill I mentioned previously? There's always a hook on there, hide behind it, Killers don't usually look up, but rather at the ground. Within the factory, hide on the cat-walks. There's two ways towards you but you're going to see the Killer with way enough time to escape. And finally, with the house, hide up the stairs, and keep an eye on the stairs. If he comes up? Jump out of the window.

The Basement
The basement is probably one of the places where you'd think not to hide. However it's often the best place. The Killer hardly ever goes there, and if he follows you down? He has to search through 2-3 storages before he comes across you. There's also a free chest.

Your friend is being kidnapped!
If your friend is being kidnapped, make yourself useful and try to distract the killer so he can wriggle free. If you can't do this, keep close.

Counter Hook Camping
There is no way to stop a killer from hook camping, however there is a way to counter it. If your friend is on a hook, approach it with another friend. One acts as a distraction whilst the other one unhooks. If he persists to stay around it. Sacrifice yourself. How do I mean? Get yourself downed on purpose. The killer will start taking you to another hook and then your friend can unhook the first guy and get you.

On the hook
NEVER attempt to unhook yourself if your friends are near-by or there's a chance. There is only a 5% chance to unhook yourself -- Not a lot-- and every time you attempt, you take a 3rd of your time away. You become a burden, making it harder for your teammates to save you and giving them less time to do so. The only time you should attempt is if you have no chance of being saved.

I am by far not the best player, and these are only things I think are useful and that people should do. So please, for those who are rank 10, don't bombard me with ♥♥♥♥. I'll add more to this later.
