100% Achievement Guide with screenshots
By -3xA'Lu©κy the disappearing act
The aim of this guide is to help players unlock all of the Steam achievements for this title that were made available as part of Aspyr's official update (which came on the 16th of May in 2016).

I've never done an achievement guide before but I made an exception with this game because I know it extremely well. A lot of these achievements are missable too, which is all the more reason why something like this should exist. I know there are a lot of achievement guides that do things a certain way but I've decided to go with a structure that's easy to follow and will hopefully be the most helpful to you. Simply put, I order achievements by how early you can unlock them in the game. To ensure this guide's not a slog to get through: I've also made this guide a little entertaining and have provided plenty of screenshots. If there's any feedback about this or the guide in general... I'd be happy to hear it.

Don't forget: if you're after a particular achievement and don't wish to replay the entire game, you can replay any chapter you wish by selecting "Chapters" from the main menu screen.

Best of luck in getting these achievements!

* Credit goes to Steam user The Reapero ( http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/profiles/76561198043549384 ) for providing an easier way of getting the "Forgotten Love" achievement and Drake Ravenwolf ( http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/profiles/76561198030686590 ) for providing a faster method to get the "Can't Take Anymore" achievement (i.e. repeatedly failing the basement breathing minigame)!!

A strong recommendation (about QTEs)

For those who don't know: QTEs or Quick-Time-Events are bits of gameplay where buttons/keys are displayed on the screen and you have to press that exact button/key to make an in-game action. They're quite common in video games today but few use them to the extent that this game does and the QTEs in this game are somewhat different. If you plan on playing this game or unlocking even half of these Steam achievements, you're going to have familiarize yourself with them.

It's for this reason I recommend you play the Tutorial. Simply click New Movie from the main menu screen:
... and select the Tutorial option:

In this tutorial chapter you'll be in control of Bob the robot. The majority of this tutorial covers things which should be easy to understand right away. Soon enough, you are talked to about about sequences and are asked to interact with the Rib Stall.
This is your first type of action sequence and it's a fairly common one. Usually the bar at the bottom of the screen is displayed a bit earlier to give you a warning before you actually need to do anything. What you want to do is press the "A" and "D" keys on your keyboard alternately and as fast as possible (as the game explains). You'll do this whenever your character needs to physically exert themselves.
Right after this, you are told of another action sequence you'll encounter and this is the one I mentioned above. It's a QTE. What you want to do is press whatever keys are displayed on screen in order to make an in-game action. The W, A, S and D keys on your keyboard match the group of buttons on the left side of the screen while the up arrow, left arrow, down arrow and right arrow keys on your keyboard match the group of buttons on the right side of the screen. Usually the 2 groups of buttons and a "GET READY!" message are displayed a bit earlier to give you a warning before you actually need to do anything.
With this first QTE, the A button and left arrow button lights up and you are expected to press those 2 keys at the same time. Do that correctly and you'll face another QTE where the D button and right arrow button lights up. Press the D key and right arrow key and that is the last QTE you'll face for now.

It's important to not get too stressed about these QTEs. Most of the time you don't have to get these QTEs 100% right, and pressing a wrong key and then the right key immediately afterwards is perfectly acceptable. In the main story the QTEs are more complex (and they will ask you to press just one key on occasion) so be mindful of that. If you're about to give up at some point of the game, you're more than welcome to change the difficulty at any time which will affect the difficulty of these QTEs.

I hope this has been of some use to you and while I can't say it'll make you a professional, it'll definetly help.
1. Butter Fingers

This achievement can be unlocked in Chapter 1: THE MURDER - Doc's Diner (Lucas) which is the beginning of this game. Butter Fingers' achievement description is "Get caught taking too long in the bathroom".

After the almost 5 minute long intro that's unskippable, you'll take control of Lucas:
As you can see, Lucas' day could be going a lot better. We're here, however, to make it worse. Simply don't interact with anything and in about 2 minutes and 45 seconds (yes, I counted) the police officer will catch you in the act red-handed.
When 2 minutes and 30 seconds are up, you will see the police officer get off his chair and head towards the restroom you are in.
When 2 minutes and 45 seconds are up, you will get this game over scene and the achievement should unlock here.

Poor Lucas. Cue the "And that's how my story ends" monologue that we've heard way too many times.
2. Warning Label

This achievement can be unlocked in Chapter 3: THE DAY AFTER - Lucas' Apartment (Lucas) but it can also be unlocked in Chapter 9: LOST LOVE - Lucas' Apartment (Lucas). Warning Label's achievement description is "Kill Lucas mixing pills and alcohol".

This achievement requires you to kill yourself... just when you thought this game couldn't be more depressing, huh? The procedure for both chapters is the exact same. You'll wake up as Lucas and be able to interact with a number of things around the apartment.
Right beside your bed is a little stand with a bottle of medicine you can use. Walk up to it. Swipe the mouse upwards to use the medicine and you'll hear Lucas say "The notice reads: Don't take with alcohol". I guess you know what's next then.
Use the nearby door to exit your bedroom and head towards the kitchen area (the phone might ring but just ignore it and it'll stop ringing).
Stand exactly where I am and at the bottom of the cabinet I am facing is a bottle of alcohol. Swipe the mouse downwards to place the bottle on the top of the cabinet. Swipe the mouse downwards again and you'll take a good gulp of that drink. Bottoms up!

Lucas doesn't seem to handle his alcohol well but at least you get another achievement.
3. Ice Fishing

This achievement can be unlocked in Chapter 4: CONFESSION - The Park (Lucas). Ice Fishing's achievement description is "Save the kid in the park".

At the beginning of this chapter you'll start off in the cemetery as Lucas.
Go to Markus to trigger a conversation. During this conversation, feel free to pick whatever dialogue choices you want. After it ends and you have either taken the crucifix or rejected it, you'll have a premonition that involves a kid falling in the ice. A few seconds later that actually happens but some cops are walking towards your direction as well.
Run towards the kid if you want to save him and get this achievement. Once you are close, you'll automatically enter the water and will have to do an action sequence.
Press the A and D keys on your keyboard in an alternating fashion to dive deeper and reach the kid.
Once you've reached the kid, swipe the mouse downwards to grab ahold of him.
To get yourself out of the water you need to alternate between A and D again just like the last action sequence. To throw the kid on the ice you've got another A and D action sequence. And to finally get yourself out of the water, there's a A and D action sequence once more.
Now that you and the kid are both safely out of the water, you'll want to perform CPR on him. After all: it'd be silly to go to all this effort and throw away an achievement just to try your luck running away now. First swipe the mouse upwards to pick yourself up.
Now walk over to the kid and swipe your mouse downwards. From here you can swipe your mouse upwards to hear his heartbeat, but you don't need to do this and can simply swipe your mouse downwards to perform CPR right away.
Lucas will count upwards to 3 (1, 2, 3) and once you reach 3 each time, swipe your mouse downwards.
Repeat this several times and the kid will be resuscitated.

There will be no bravery medals for you today, as you were lucky enough to have the cop pretend he didn't know you, but another achievement is yours!
4. Forgotten Love

This achievement can be unlocked in Chapter 9: LOST LOVE - Lucas' Apartment (Lucas). Forgotten Love's achievement description is "Convince Tiffany to stay".

Lucas is sitting on the couch looking rather depressed. If you listen closely: you can hear The Sound of Silence playing in the background.
Feel free to get off your butt and explore the apartment, but when you want to get the achievement, head into the bedroom and interact with the bed twice to sleep (swipe the mouse rightwards and then swipe the mouse downwards).
After this you'll be awoken by Tiffany who's waiting outside your apartment. Exit the bedroom and swipe the mouse downwards to use the door and greet her.
She will go and sit on the couch and you'll have 3 dialogue choices. "Glass", "Stuff" and "News". Choosing "Stuff" last actually means more work for you (since you end up doing all 3 interactions instead of just the 1), and Lucas' flirting skills are far from average, so let's go with "Stuff" by swiping the mouse rightwards.
Tiffany has 2 left 2 of her boxes in your apartment and you have to go find them now (they have her initials "TH" on them). The first one should be near the kitchen, as shown in the screenshot below. Swipe your mouse downwards to grab this box, then walk over to her and swipe your mouse downwards again.
The second one should be in the bedroom, as shown in the screenshot below. Grab this box too and give it to her just like you did with the first box.
Once that's done you'll be given multiple dialogue options to choose from again. The first option you want to pick is "Sincere" by swiping your mouse downwards. Next is "Alone" which means you'll want to swipe your mouse upwards. The last one you need to choose is "Sentimental" which you can do by swiping your mouse upwards.
Do all of this and Tiffany will suggest to play the guitar for her. Walk over to where the guitar is but face the amp. Swipe your mouse leftwards to turn it on and then approach the guitar and swipe your mouse rightwards.
Prepare for a slighlty long QTE! To be fair, this is really easy. Basically the group of buttons to the left will always have a single button highlighted whilst the group of buttons to the right will always have a single button highlighted that needs to be pressed twice. So press one key (from the W, A, S and D group), press another key twice (from the up arrow, left arrow, down arrow and right arrow group). And repeat. You should get through this QTE easily.
Providing you've passed the QTE, you can finally choose the "Kiss" dialogue option by swiping your mouse upwards.

Congrats! You've earned yourself not just an achievement this time but an interactive sex minigame with Tiffany. I'm dead serious. I'll leave the two of you alone....
5. Nobody Left Behind

This achievement can be unlocked in Chapter 10: HIDE AND SEEK - The Cemetery (Lucas). Nobody Left Behind's achievement description is "Save all the kids in the Hangar".

At the beginning of this chapter you'll start off as Lucas in the cemetery once more.
Go talk to Markus and then walk besides him and lay down the flowers by swiping your mouse downwards.
A cutscene will follow and now you'll be introduced to a flashback scene with a surprisingly snotty Markus. Once the conversation with your friends ends, you'll have a premonition and a QTE to accompany it. After this, you'll take direct control of younger Lucas.
I'm not going to spend too much time explaining how to reach the 4B Hangar as the remastered version of this game includes a map with a marked path in green, making this once slightly annoying chapter pretty easy. You can expand this map by holding the Q key if you wish, which the screenshot showcases below.
Following the marked path will take you to a fence. Climb this fence by swiping your mouse upwards. The next movement you need to make is to swipe your mouse leftwards and then upwards in an arc fashion (all in one swipe). After that you need to swipe your mouse rightwards and then upwards in an arc fashion (also, all in one swipe). Leftward + upwards arc, rightward + upwards arc. Repeat and try to ignore the timer on each movement. Lastly, swipe the mouse upwards to climb over the fence.
Continue to follow the marked path on your map whilst avoiding guards (marked as blue circles) and you'll see a hole under the fence you're facing. Swipe your mouse upwards to crawl through.
We've got a checkpoint here, so don't worry about screwing up now. The guard in front of us poses a problem but if you wait about 20 seconds a truck will come our way and block out the guard for us (these trucks keep coming over and over). Stick with the truck as it goes down the road and as soon as we're past that same guard's line of sight: stop and continue going north towards the 4B Hangar. Follow the marked path yet again and it'll take you to an opening which you can use to get inside the Hangar. Swipe your mouse rightwards. Then swipe your mouse upwards.
You should be in, but as you'll find out in a cutscene, we've got a big problem. 3 of your friends are hiding in the Hangar and are unaware the whole Hangar is about to explode. Thankfully younger Marcus is dealt with in the same cutscene but it's up to you to locate the remaining 3 kids and convince them that their game of hide and seek isn't as fun as it sounds. We need to save all 3 within the given time limit in order to get the achievement. Luckily for you, I know where to find them. The first kid can be found in the following location. Swipe your mouse upwards to talk to him.
The second kid can be found in this location. Swipe your mouse upwards to talk to him as well. Unfortunately he'll need a bit more convincing, so make sure to select the "Lie" dialogue choice by swiping your mouse downwards.
The third kid can be found in this location. Swipe your mouse upwards to talk to him like you did with the others.

Not only have you saved 3 kids who arguably didn't deserve to be saved... but you're now one step closer to 100% achievement completion!
6. Good Shape

This achievement can be unlocked in Chapters 11 or 12: FRIENDLY COMBAT - Gymnasium (Carla or Tyler). Good Shape's achievement description is "Win the sparring match as Carla".

After a cutscene, you'll either be controlling Carla the workaholic or the rather dimwitted Tyler. We need to be in control of Carla for this achievement. If you're controlling Tyler, just press the "2" key on your keyboard and you'll instantly switch over to your partner.
Before you can go in the boxing ring and beat the crap out of Tyler in 10 QTEs, you need to warm up first by interacting with at least 2 exercises. I'll show you all 4 exercises but I recommend doing just the rope climb and mounted punching ball, since they require the least effort from you and seem to be quicker to complete with the A and D action sequence we all know and love.

1. The rope climb
2. Mounted punching ball
3. Mat exercise
4. Pec deck machine
After you've done at least 2 of the above exercises, you now need to get Tyler warmed up as well. Switch back to him by pressing the "2" key and do at least 2 of the following exercises:

1. Leg extension machine
2. Bench press
3. Mat exercise
Once you've warmed up both Carla and Tyler, switch back to Carla by pressing the "2" key on your keyboard! Approach the boxing ring as her and swipe the mouse upwards to enter it.
The objective in the boxing ring is to win in 10 QTEs against Tyler. You can lose a few but just make sure to win in 10 QTEs before Tyler does and you should unlock the achievement with no issues.

Do that and you may see Carla make up some story about her being a Shaolin Monk, which is franky more believable than Tyler being a detective.
7. Breathless

This achievement can be unlocked in Chapter 13: DEBRIEFING - Police Station (Carla). Breathless' achievement description is "Fail the breathing sequence with Carla".

The chapter starts off with you at a meeting with your Captain. You'll be able to choose several different things to say to him but don't worry: there are no right or wrong answers here.
Once the meeting's over, Carla and Tyler will have a little chat and you'll soon take control of Carla as she enters the basement. She says she has claustrophobia but I personally think she just forgot to bring her inhaler.
Either way, head towards the door and position yourself like I have. Swipe your mouse upwards to turn on the power.
You know what to do now. Approach the door and swipe your mouse upwards to go deeper into the basement.
At this point the game will go into first person mode and you'll see a bar at the bottom of your screen. To pass this chapter the idea is to actually keep the white notch on the bar in the middle. But the achievement we want actually requires failing this minigame. The notch naturally wants to go towards the right end of the bar and you're normally supposed to counteract that by pressing the A and D keys in an alternate fashion. Press them too fast or too much and that white notch will reach the extreme left side of the bar which is just as bad as letting the notch hit the right side of the bar.
Ultimately, don't press A or D or press A and D a lot and the achievement is yours.

It'll leave you happy but leave Carla rethinking her career. An easy achievement honestly.
8. Ace Cop

This achievement can be unlocked in Chapter 16: QUESTIONS & BULLETS - Police University (Carla). Ace Cop's achievement description is "Impress Sergeant Mitchell at the shooting range".

Carla has taken a visit to the shooting range at the Police University to get some answers. Questions that could've been answered if Tyler wasn't too busy with his basketball game but I'm sure he has his reasons (namely $200 and the chance to make fun of a nerdy cop).
Walk down the range and stop at the second-last booth. This is the retired Sergeant we need to speak with. So swipe your mouse upwards to chat with him.
Rather than answer your questions, he wants you to shoot some targets. Okay? So let's shoot targets. Move forward and swipe your mouse upwards to put on safety equipment. Then after a short cutscene, swipe your mouse leftwards.
A prompt will come up but before you press "OK", let's go over the controls. As the prompt explains: left mouse button fires the gun, right mouse button reloads. Kill terrorists to gain time (3 seconds), killing innocents will reduce time (5 seconds). Oh and your mouse moves the gun. That's all you need to worry about though. Don't go for headshots or anything fancy. Just shoot terrorists as soon as they appear and try not to miss. Reload whenever you can as the animation takes about a second and is extremely quick. You'll start with 20 seconds and as 80 seconds goes by, terrorists appear for far less time. You should aim for the moving terrorists because they don't disappear as quick.
In the end this is what I had before the timer ticked down to zero.
It could've been a lot better but I still ended up getting the Great Job speech.
Immediately after this you'll have the chance to choose and ask a few questions. Choose whatever you want.
When the conversation ends, you'll again have to pick up your pistol. Swipe the mouse leftwards and prepare for another round of shooting (don't worry, you don't have to do any more shooting after this).
Same deal as last time. In fact, the difficulty seems to be the exact same. So do whatever worked for you last time and hopefully you end up with a score similar to mine.
If you got another great score, Sergeant Mitchell will praise you and the achievement will pop up during this.

You should feel proud of yourself. All those years of playing Call of Duty finally paid off.
9. White Men Can't Jump

This achievement can be unlocked in Chapter 17: DOUBLE OR QUITS - Outside Police Station (Tyler). White Men Can't Jump's achievement description is "Win the basketball game".

The fact this achievement is named "White Men Can't Jump" (a suggestion I made on the achievements thread when Aspyr announced they were interested in adding Steam achievements to this game) just makes this great chapter even greater. Anyway, Tyler owes Jeffrey money but Jeffrey will let this slide and give us $200 if we beat him at a game of basketball.
If Jeffrey's outfit is any indication, basketball is an alien concept to him. Tyler is a basketball pro and it's time to demonstrate that. What you have to do is win in 10 QTEs against Jeffrey. It's very similar to the "Good Shape" Steam achievement only this time if you win a QTE while Jeffrey has the ball, you won't win that QTE but you will get the ball (meaning you can win future QTEs while the ball is in your possession).
If you lose a QTE whilst holding the ball, Jeffrey gets the ball but you don't lose a QTE.
You can lose a few QTEs but make sure to win 10 QTEs before Jeffrey does. Do that, and you're set to get the achievement.

Now all Tyler has to do is work on becoming a better cop.
10. Can't Take Anymore

This achievement can be easily unlocked in Chapter 13: DEBRIEFING - Police Station (Carla) by repeatedly failing the breathing minigame in the basement (it'll reduce 10 points each time). If you don't feel like doing that, or would like a method that's a bit more time consuming but doesn't require you to do anything (so you can even go away from your keyboard), Chapter 19: DARK OMEN - Carla's Place (Carla) and 22: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! - Tyler's Apartment (Tyler) will allow you to do this. Can't Take Anymore's achievement description is "Have Carla or Tyler lose all of their mental health". If you know what choices to make, this achievement can be unlocked anywhere really.

Due to not needing an explanation on how to unlock this achievement in Chapter 13, I'll go over how to unlock it in Chapter 19 first and then Chapter 22 afterwards instead. After a shower scene involving Carla that caught the attention of 90% of people who played this chapter, we take direct control of her. Head outside the bathroom by going up to the nearby door and swiping your mouse upwards to use it. Exit the bedroom as well, by swiping your mouse downwards this time at the door ahead of you.
Immediately turn left and you will see the phone that's been ringing sitting right beside you. Swipe your mouse upwards to use it and you'll see that it's Tyler who's been trying to call you (who else lol).
Press 2 to switch to Tyler and swipe your mouse upwards to make him get off his computer chair. Since Tyler's pulling an all-nighter, wasting unnecessary time in this chapter as him will surprisingly decrease his mental health points. For every 3 minutes that go by in real life (and Tyler is not interacting with anything), Tyler will lose 20 mental health points.
Depending on how much mental health points Tyler currently has, it might take just 3 minutes or up to 15 minutes to send him into a depression (leading to a game over screen) and snag the achievement. So all you have to do for this achievement is simply don't interact with anything as Tyler and eventually you'll make him quit his job.

If you want to unlock this achievement in Chapter 22: then I'll be happy to walk you through it here. After a cutscene with Tyler and Sam, you'll be in control of Tyler.
Go over to the fridge and swipe your mouse upwards. Then swipe your mouse upwards again.
Walk over to the wine glasses and swipe your mouse downwards to pour wine into them. Located right next to you is a white stove. Walk over to it and swipe your mouse downwards again to turn on the oven.
Another cutscene will occur and Tyler will pretend to be dumb when talking to Sam (he doesn't have to try hard, does he... okay I will stop with the Tyler jokes). Right after that, walk over to the record player and swipe your mouse downwards.
A goofy romance scene will play out and you'll have to do a QTE sequence to ensure Tyler dances with Sam properly (it's just a single key you have to press from the left group of buttons, then a single key from the right group of buttons... and repeat).
Tyler is the luckiest man alive as you'll soon witness. After yet another cutscene, you'll take control of Carla. If a phone rings, ignore it. All you have to do here is the exact same thing we did with Tyler in Chapter 19. Just don't interact with anything as Carla and each time 3 minutes goes by in real life, Carla will lose 20 mental health points. Again, it might take just 3 minutes or up to 15 minutes -- it all depends on how much mental health points Carla already has. As soon as you reach 0 mental health points: Carla will get depressed (leading to a game over screen, like Tyler) and you'll get the achievement.

Sorry Carla. So long Tyler - I couldn't help myself ;)
11. Teflon

This achievement can be unlocked in Chapter 20: FACE OFF - Naser & Jones Bank (Lucas). Teflon's achievement description is "Pass the interrogation as Lucas".

Lucas is losing his mind and can't catch a break. Carla (or Tyler, depending on choices made throughout the game) is coming to investigate him and Lucas knows he couldn't hide a secret even if his life depended on it. Actually his life does depend on this secret, so you better put on your poker face and try to not raise any suspicion during the interrogation or have any incriminating evidence left out in the open at your current work station.
As soon as you gain control of Lucas, a timer will appear and the screen will divide into two -- the bottom part showing the detective walking to your door. You've only got enough time to get rid of incriminating evidence, so don't waste your time doing anything else. Swiping the mouse upwards to get off the chair would be a good start.
Position yourself like I have and swipe your mouse upwards to hear Lucas' thoughts on this piece of paper (it's revealed that your bookmark - for the Shakespeare book you left at the murder scene in the diner - was ripped from this printout). Swipe your mouse upwards again to have Lucas actually hide it.
Now position yourself like I have and swipe your mouse upwards on this book. It's revealed to be another Shakespeare book, The Tempest, which was left at the murder scene in the diner - so we need to get rid of this thing pronto! Swipe your mouse downwards and Lucas will get rid of it like he did with the bookmark.
The time limit should've expired by now but you can rest easy for the moment. The upcoming interrogation's a bit of a pain as you've got to select the right dialogue choices, do QTEs inbetween (you need to get each 100% right otherwise you'll fail them) and fail QTEs that involve bugs (so Lucas doesn't act weird) but I've kindly laid out something for you to follow. Just follow the procedure that's below this screenshot and you'll pass with flying colours.
1. Choose "Subject" (swipe your mouse upwards).
2. Do this QTE.
3. Choose "Truth" (swipe your mouse upwards again).
4. Do this QTE.
5. Choose "Truth" (swipe your mouse rightwards this time).
6. Do this QTE.
7. Do another QTE.
8. Choose "No" (swipe your mouse upwards).
9. Fail this QTE.
10. Choose "Joke" (swipe your mouse upwards).
11. Do this QTE.
12. Fail this QTE.
13. Do this QTE.
14. Choose "Illness" (swipe your mouse downwards).
15. Do this QTE.
16. Choose "Lie" (swipe your mouse downwards).
17. Do this QTE.
18. Choose "Truth" (swipe your mouse upwards).
19. Fail this QTE.
20. Do this QTE.

After this Lucas will say he is not "feeling very well" (code for "scared out of my mind") and he's going to visit the bathroom. Now you get to control Carla and can snoop around Lucas' office while he is away. You don't have to collect any evidence but I collected the photo of Markus and Lucas as well as the pen on his table for fingerprints.
Eventually Lucas will come back and when he does: Carla will say a few things and then the achievement should pop up!

Lucas you smooth cat, you.
12. Brotherly Love

This achievement can be unlocked in Chapter 34: DANGER & UBIQUITY - Sleazy Hotel (Lucas). Brotherly Love's achievement description is "Save Markus".

Apart from the murder, the unpleasant hotel and the cops right on his tail... Lucas has never felt more alive. He's now got abilities that would make Neo jealous! However, as a wise old man once said: "with great power comes responsibility or something", and that is exactly what's required for this achievement. We start off as Lucas in the aforementioned hotel and quickly learn that Markus is in trouble at the St Paul's Church via. a premonition Lucas has had. So let's save him from the Oracle because we get an achieve -- because he's our brother.
After a short cutscene that involves Carla and Tyler, you'll take control of Lucas. Immediately swipe the mouse upwards so that he gets off his bed.
Then run over to the other side of the bed and position yourself like I have. Swipe the mouse upwards again to use the phone so that we can warn Markus.
The game then switches over to Markus and we see him talk to someone out of view. You'll only have a few seconds to choose a dialogue option as Markus and the one you want to choose is "Telephone" by swiping your mouse upwards.
From here we take direct control of him and the game will tell you to "MOVE!". Run towards the door in view and swipe your mouse upwards to interact with it.
Right next to you is a phone. Don't hesitate to swipe your mouse downwards to use it otherwise Markus will die.
Markus will of course want an explanation from Lucas on the telephone, but when given multiple dialogue choices just choose "No time" by swiping your mouse rightwards.
As soon as you regain control of Markus once again, run to the nearby door you used previously and swipe your mouse leftwards to lock it.
Next, walk back over to the telephone and swipe your mouse downwards to use it.
After the chat and Markus is hung up on, you'll gain a nice +30 mental health points and the achievement should unlock.

Your brother might still think you're a nutcase but at least he gets to live another day and still think you're a nutcase.
13 and 14. Never Gonna Give You Up and Seems Legit

Both achievements can be unlocked in Chapter 42: WHERE IS JADE? - The Orphanage (Lucas). Never Gonna Give You Up's achievement description is "Refuse to give Jade to the Purple Clan" and Seems Legit's achievement discription is "Give Jade to the Purple Clan".

After a shortcut cutscene, you'll gain direct control of Lucas. We're here to save the Indigo Child in order to fufill a prophecy I still don't understand fully to this day. You'll start right outside the orphanage where the Indigo Child supposedly resides. Swipe your mouse upwards to make Lucas get out of the car.
*Cue the tension-building music*. Run towards the double doors and swipe your mouse downwards to enter the Orphanage.
Another short cutscene will play out with a Nun telling Lucas that he can't go further. Lucas doesn't care one bit. Immediately afterwards we're in control of Lucas again and a timer has appeared at the top of the screen.
We know the Indigo Child is in one of these rooms. Easy. However, there are a lot of doors to search. Not so easy. If you need to know where she is: she's in the very last door on the left side of this corridor. Swipe your mouse upwards and enter the room.
As soon as you approach the Indigo Child your screen will split in two, warning you that the Oracle is close and that he doesn't like Nuns one bit.
After a few seconds you'll be able to swipe your mouse downwards to carry the Indigo Child. Do so, and after a quick cutscene, exit the room by swiping your mouse downwards.
Once more a cutscene takes place. When the cutscene ends you'll have little time to act. Hurry over to the nearby door which has an exit sign and swipe your mouse upwards to escape.
Another cutscene.... If you hated the QTEs in this game, prepare to smash your keyboard. One incredibly, incredibly long boss fight coming up: full of just QTEs and A and D action sequences (you don't have to worry about interactions or player movement and there's very little delay between QTEs and A and D action sequences). The best advice I can actually give you is to refer to the "A strong recommendation (about QTEs)" section of this very Steam guide I made. It has some very good tips that I think will help. Besides that, keep trying. For someone who has gotten the hang of most of these QTEs, they might not be too much trouble (especially if they have a lot of lives left). But for everyone else: just keep trying.
When you've finally passed the boss fight (as well as vanishing from thin air while wallrunning with the Indigo Child and evading several helicopters), and are hiding with the Indigo Child in an apartment building, you'll be confronted by Agatha. Surprise! The cryptic, old creepy woman you see in your visions is not who she seems. You'll have several dialogue choices to choose from but it doesn't matter what you select UNTIL you come to 2 final dialogue choices: "Accept" and "Refuse". Swiping your mouse leftwards to "Refuse" giving the Indigo Child to Agatha will get you the Never Gonna Give You Up achievement, whilst swiping your mouse rightwards to "Accept" giving the Indigo Child to Agatha will give you the Seems Legit achievement.

I bet you're glad you beat the Oracle and wiped that smug grin off of his face. Whatever choice you made: you did good, you did good.
15. Endless Summer

This achievement can be unlocked in Chapter 45: FINAL COUNTDOWN - Wishita Military Base (Lucas). Endless Summer's achievement description is "Good Ending". The next few paragraphs are also used for my "16. Winter is Here" and "17. The Future Awaits" sections in my guide, but I encourage you to read through it all regardless.

If you gave the Indigo Child to Agatha (in Chapter 42: WHERE IS JADE? - The Orphanage), this chapter will play out a little differently. The beginning is virtually identical however, with the exception of Lucas not carrying the Indigo Child like I am in the screenshot below. Almost immediately you'll control Lucas after a quick talk with Carla, and be forced to do an A and D action sequence. Even though it looks like it's going to be one long sequence, it's actually quite short.
Once you've passed the sequence, you'll be next to the Hangar door. Swipe your mouse downwards to get in and Lucas will astronaut-walk into the Hangar.
From here, you just want to enter the next room and position yourself like I have. I should be facing the red button that you can interact with, but the Indigo Child would've blocked it out entirely in the screenshot. Anyway, just swipe your mouse upwards and you'll enter another room.
Continue walking and go down the stairway. Right after this is where the chapter will start differing for those who gave the Indigo Child to Agatha back in Chapter 42. So, first I'll cover how to get this achievement for those of you who kept the Indigo Child. After that, I'll then cover how to get this achievement for those of you who gave the Indigo Child to Agatha.
If you kept the Indigo Child, you'll encounter the Oracle and a group of soliders in a cutscene. What comes next is nothing special. A QTE to start things off and an A and D action sequence that will get interrupted by a QTE every time you make a bit of progress with the A and D action sequence. Pull off the A and D action sequence and you will have to do 3 very small QTEs that will allow you to finish off his soldiers (they all require pressing just 2 keys). That tryhard and his minions are taken care of.
Following this, the AI from the Purple Clan will want to challenge Lucas (these bad guys seriously don't learn, do they?). You've got 2 A and D action sequences to get through. Do them both, and you'll have 1 QTE to finish things off (after a few key presses, the buttons seem to speed up a little so watch out for that). An easy victory.
Now run over to the Indigo Child and swipe your mouse downwards to pick her up. Carry her to the altar and swipe your mouse downwards. And that's it... you've got the good ending and the achievement should unlock. Congratulations on beating the game!

For those who gave the child to Agatha, we'll be continuing where we left off. You should've continued walking and gone down the stairway after entering the Hangar. After this, you will see the AI from the Purple Clan carrying the Indigo Child. See what you did?! Well, we have to battle it now. You've got 2 A and D action sequences to get through. Do them both, and you'll have 1 QTE to finish things off (after 4 keys the buttons speed up a little so watch out for that). That's the Purple Clan done.
Run over to the Indigo Child and swipe your mouse downwards to pick her up. Following this, the Oracle will make his grand entrance in a cutscene. He's got Carla at gunpoint. You will have two dialogue choices to choose from. "Give" and "Refuse". Swipe your mouse downwards to select Refuse and a quick QTE will occur. Pass the QTE and Carla will shoot the Oracle. So much for that guy....
Now carry the Indigo Child to the altar and swipe your mouse downwards. And that's it... you've got the good ending and the achievement should unlock. Congratulations on beating the game!
16. Winter is Here

The AI will knock you out (in a cutscene), take the Indigo Child and place them on the altar. And that's it... you've got the Purple Clan ending and the achievement should unlock. Congratulations on beating the game!

The AI will possess you and then the Oracle will confront the AI in a cutscene. They'll start fighting while Lucas walks around like a zombie.
Normally you'd press the "2" key on your keyboard so you could switch to Carla and help out Lucas... but just let the timer run out. Lucas will grab the Indigo Child (in a cutscene) and walk towards the altar whilst the AI will kill the Oracle. Finally, under the AI's influence, Lucas will place the Indigo Child on the altar ensuring a Purple Clan victory. And that's it... you've got the Purple Clan ending and the achievement should unlock. Congratulations on beating the game!
17. The Future Awaits

This achievement can be unlocked in Chapter 45: FINAL COUNTDOWN - Wishita Military Base (Lucas). The Future Awaits' achievement description is "Orange Clan Ending". Lucas will then be knocked out and trapped in some sort of white room. Normally you'd press the "2" key on your keyboard so you could switch to Carla and help out Lucas... but just let the timer run out.
The Oracle will hover over to the Indigo Child and start chanting. Soon enough he will grab the child, walk over to the altar and place her on it. And that's it... you've got the Orange Clan ending and the achievement should unlock. Congratulations on beating the game!

Don't worry, I would like to school him with our Matrix moves too, but unfortunately we need to swipe the mouse upwards to select Give for this achievement. So select Give.
Lucas will lay down the Indigo Child whilst the Oracle will chuck Carla aside. He will then proceed to knock you out and place the Indigo Child on the altar. And that's it... you've got the Orange Clan ending and the achievement should unlock. Congratulations on beating the game!
A final note

First and foremost: I hope this guide was of some use to you. I had a blast writing this, believe it or not, and even though I'm not the funniest guy around... I'd like to think the guide made you laugh a few times too.

If you know me, you'd know I'm a perfectionist when it comes to pretty much everything. Unfortunately my work tends to be a little too wordy and dry for some so I really went out of my comfort zone here with both the writing and the 129 screenshots I provided (yep, I counted). I might've gone overboard perhaps. I even trimmed the screenshots so that they were all the same size (I imagine most people wouldn't even pay much attention to this).

While these screenshots took a lot of time (especially when you're trying to get the perfect screenshot), an enormously greater amount of time was spent simply playing the game. I've always tried to test what I state publicly and that commitment has grown bigger over the years. Although I've played the retail version of this game already multiple times, I put 32 hours into the Steam version trying many different things to ensure what I had written was accurate and that the achievement could be attained. I even did another playthrough to make sure that people who made different choices wouldn't be left out when it comes to accessing an achievement.

This was a labour of love through-and-through and I'm happy to have made my first achievement guide for a game that has become one of my favourites. I honestly can't get enough of this game despite all of its flaws. You may have felt differently, and that's perfectly fine, I just hope this achievement guide was helpful to all of you and that you got something out of the game at the end of the day.

All the best!

Achievements in the Steam version of this game are quite easy. There are 17 achievements in total (for comparison, PS4 version has 49). All 17 achievements are story-based, there are no difficulty or QTE achievements
