Basic Buffs
Guard Power up: (Lv. 1, 2 & 3)
Increases the shields ability to reduce damage from melee attacks by certain amounts: Lv. 1 increases the guard power by 90, lv. 2 increases it by 160 and lv. 3 increases it by an incredible 280. Guard power is a fairly solid starting buff for someone who doesn't have too many buffs to work with but is still easily replaced by the more useful buffs.

Anti-Magic Guard up: (Lv. 1, 2 & 3)
Increases the guard power against a mage's magic attacks, this buff increases all the stats by the same amounts that guard power does but for anti-magic guard instead. This buff is overall one of the worst buffs for shields due to the limited uses of the buff and the colossal list of better buffs that are, in some cases, almost as common
Buffs
Falling damage down: (Lv. 1)
This buff decreases the amount of damage that is taken from falling from high-up places, like the walls around the 2nd tower on the desert map. This is one of the less useful buffs due to the very, very limited uses for it and the minimal impact that is has on combat, only being useful in 1 out of 1,000 circumstances.

Get hit & Gain AP: (Lv. 1, 2 & 3)
This buff is very self-explanitory: when you are hit by an attack you will heal some AP back. This buff is considered to be a good buff for someone without many buffs, however there are still better buffs that make this one less useful. One use for it is for clerics, who can use the AP to heal, revive or buff up teammates.

Guard HP recovery up: (Lv. 1, 2 & 3)
Guard HP recovery up makes it so when you are guarding you will heal back more HP. This is useful because when you are guarding you naturally recover less HP meaning that if you are under constant fire you can quickly be wittled down. With this buff, however, the HP recovery can sometimes overpower the HP loss but usually ends up just weakening the blows.

Guard move speed up: (Lv. 1)
Guard move speed up is another self-explanitory buff, it makes it so that, with this buff, you will move faster while guarding then someone without this buff. This is considered to be the best buff for shields overall, being useful for both warriors and clerics. The speed that you gain from this buff can get you out of some hairy situations that, if you hadnt got this buff, you would have been sent quickly to the respawn screen.

Guard attack up: (Lv. 1, 2 & 3)
This buff makes it so you deal more damage when guard-attacking. This buff is very helpful for warriors who usually end up guarding to keep themselves alive. This buff is not only very useful, but also quite hard to come across, but is definately worth getting your hands on. Another small not about this buff is that it is completely useless for clerics since they cannot guard attack.

Fast Guard attack: (Lv. 1)
Fast guard attack increases the speed you attack at while guarding, Allowing you to deal more DPS and make it easier to inflict debuffs, like freeze, stun or KO, while attacking foes from behind a shield. This buff is extremely hard to come by, possibly even rarer than guard move speed up was. Another quick note is that, like guard attack up, this buff is useless to a cleric due to their inability to guard attack.

Uppercut power-up: (Lv. 1, 2 & 3)
Uppercut power-up makes your shield uppercut has a stronger smash effect then it would do without this buff. This buff, due to it being seperate from guard attack, is useful for both warriors and clerics and is even stackable with smash power-up to further increase the smash power uppercut has.

Guarding doesn't slow your HP down, it just stops the instant recovery when you stay still.
