WORK IN PROGRESS
Please understand this is a WIP,
also i am open to suggestions.
Key
Broken - crazy OP, so good it almost breaks the game.
Very OP - This item or tactic trivializes the game.
OP - Means "Over-Powered" This thing can make the game very easy if used right.
Kinda OP - Nothing you should go out of your way for.
Not UP or OP - this is nothing special, your average item or tactic.
Kinda UP - This item or tactic doesnt quite deliver for its cost, try to avoid it.
UP - Means "Under-Powered" strongly avoid this tactic or item
Very UP - avoid this item at all costs
Outright useless - Any item that gives you no return, or almost no return for your investment.
Stats
strength - Not OP or UP, get this to 200 once agilityis at a good level.

Vitality - Very UP, as it gets replaced by doctors aura in the early-mid game. only put points into it if you dont have doctors aura
Doctors Aura
-requires no tp
-can heal many others at once
Vitality heal
-requires tp
-can only heal self.
In addition, both of the above will be uselesss once you get throwing medicine.

Armor seems to do nothing when i test it.

intellegence- UP, the passive XP boost stinks unless you put all your TP in it.

agility - OP, this is because of doge chance, doge chance effectivly maxes at 90% however you will want to get it to about 150% since for every enemy in melee range around you, doge chance goes down by 10%

Dexterity - very UP, once you get throwing medicine the dexterity stats go to waste. (as all your pirates should have throwing meds)

Luck - kinda UP, seems to effect nothing but crit chance.
Crit chance - I did the math, only get his to 100 if your strength is above 200. This is because a crit doubles your damage, and takes 100 TP to get. 100 TP in strength gives you 500% damage, lineraly. In strength, 1-100 increases damage by 495%. 100-200 increases damage by 100% (compaired to the last boost) 200-300 is only a 50% increase. Instead make luck 100 there for the 100% boost.

in summery, never put put points in intellegence. Only put points in Vitality if you dont have doctors aura, and focus most points in Strength, Agility,. Only put points in luck if you are very deep into late game. Only put points in Dexterity in the early to early-mid game.

Starting strategy
When you begin you are given 3 sets of 3 options

First set of three

- monsters - i have no idea what this does
- mystery - i have no idea what this does
- drama - i have no idea what this does

sorry about that, i am open to suggestions here.

second set of three

- More ship encounters - Very OP Ships > islands in every way
- plague - means more islands, so Very UP
- long dangerous nights - your ship will be ambushed by fish people every now and then, no im not joking. This is balenced because the fish people drop good loot last time i checked.

Last set of 3

-Falcon Blade- Very OP, the falcon blade is good untill very late in the game

-Extra starting pirate - UP, he will eat you food and poop on your deck. If you use him to fight then he will die

- +25 gold - outright useless. both of the above sell for at least 30 gold.
OP - Tiki tome
The Tiki tome will sometimes give you a reward that can be abused called the Tiki TP reward (or something along those lines) The TP reward gives all your mates, and you, 1 TP.

Since:
A. the Tiki tome reward never changes,
B. Revisting the island resets interactables.

Therefore , you can revist the island over and over again, getting as much TP as you would like.
very OP - Cards and barrels - never run out of money again.
Cards.

Cards are an item you can buy and put on your ship. When i first bought cards i though a pirate would go over there once in a while and get his moral up a bit. I was VERY wrong. For only 84 gold per pirate you can make it so you never have morale issues again! You will never have to pay your pirates ever! This is how it works:

1. A pirate reaches "Yellow morale" (the green face turns yellow)
2. the pirate plays cards for a short time
3. Your pirate now has max morale.
thats it.

Barrels

Barrels are a very simple item. You put one on your ship, and you get 5% more gold from plundering for a cost of about 60. This stacks linearly (so 10 barrels means 50% more gold) and has no limit.

in short, get as many as barrels as you can on your ship
(i get 20,000 gold a plunder)

the only issue with them is that they cant be stack ontop of each other when building, so they take up alot of space. But this is pixel piracy so there is an exploit for that. Simply put a hull block under where you want you floating barrel, places the barrel there, and then delete the hull block. Boom, you now have a floating barrel.

Great guide...

Lemme help you

- (Monsters) - Increases the amount of monster and pirates on the world map.

- (Mystery) - Increases islands and the type of monsters that will spawn on each island

- (Drama) - increases ports, thieves on each ports, and problematic crew members.

Also, you made some mistake

- (More ship encounters) - not involving island in any way just more ship

- (Plague) - Crew members are more prone to scurvy, etc.

- (Long Dangerous Nights) -Travel time to each place/ encounter will take longer than normal. Make sure to pack a lot of food and also fish people

Also, the extra starting pirate is useless why?

-He got the "Lazy" perk which is the worst perk

-"Lazy" = slack off on his duties

- and the only good perk he got is "Alcoholic"

-"Alcoholic' = He magically obtain a bottle of rum when sailing "He would not share it thought

Because of the reason "above" he is useless

Hope this help ya!
