Basic Starter pack
In order to realy achieve great things in this game, you're going to need to know a few basic things.

* Gold earned through runs is kept, everything else (excluding arcane forge recipies) is not kept.

This means all the experience (as in your level in the dungeon, not your ascenison level ) all your items, your weapon upgrades, and skill points are reset after a hero dies.

There is a seperate experience meter called ascension, you earn so much in game exp, and you will earn a star, a new rank, and that means more stat points to add on level ups in the dungeon ! ^^

Also, your level in game seems to affect the amount fo points you get,for instance, a 5 star hero will gain 2 skill points until level 10, upon which they start to earn 3 points per level!

The most important thing to remember, is that gold that you keep? Is used before you select a hero, to increase "passives"

These are things such as hp regen up, atk /magic dmg up, movement speed, etc.
Earning lots of gold in dungeons, and then using that gold after dying to raise passives is a GREAT way to boost your hero ^^ (Passives are for all of your heros, so no worries which one is on screen when you add to them! All passives are shared :)

* The redeemer only comes after you activate the last seal.
This mean you can leave one seal untouched, and farm enemies for exp, gold (and if you have a four leaf clover, loot as well!)

Utilizing this trick is important when on nightmare difficulty and beyond!
(btw there is no way to kill redeemer, just run! lol)

*Shop items, which to use>?

My opinion here.. do NOT get the items that increase your movement speed when you perform a critical hit. You will lose control of your hero... and you will die.

Also do not get the item for movement speed increase on blood, in fact..try to avoid anythign that boosts your speed (exepct for things liek archers cloak)

Find out what stat for damage your hero uses (ie, warrior uses atk, while wizard uses magic)
and get items that boost that ablitiy.
TRY TO AVOID THE TEMPTATION OF CURSED ITEMS!

There are times when they are good, very very good. but they are not the best.
I recommend using one that increases atk power but decreases hp.. but only if you get it very early on. This way you dont lose much hp ^^

Using it after you're level 8 or so is a bad idea.
Same goes for the skill ring to add skill points and stats, the earlier you get it,m the better it is ^^ less hp means less loss ^^ Just be careful !

That's it for basic stuff ^^

Class Tips + tricks
Knowing what classes do is kinda important ^^
Here's a few things I picked up along the way ~

* Melee characters are at a severe disadvantage... especially the slower ones.
Make sure to boost those characters movment speed stats a little , boost defnese and magic resistance. Magic resistance is SUPER important... especially in the last dungeon ,

*Ranged charcters have upper hand, however you must increase accuracy stat to 100%.
Some ranged are differnet, for instance archer and thief are similar, but wizard and cleric are wildly different!

* Magic is powerful. This goes both ways. Watch out for magical attacks!

Basic Barbarian stuff~
*Pick a stat to boost primarily, i suggest 80% on atk, with the remaining 20% on defnse and magic resitance.

Use that first skill point to unlock the 2nd skill once.
Next skill point unlock the third skill once.
After that, focus your skill points in whichever skill you are more comfortable with , and alternate adding to your basic attack skill as well.

Basic archer stuff~
*Accuracy 100% first thing you must do .
First skill point go to the third skill, use it to target over the seals to kill enemeies as they spawn ^^
second skill point goes to the 2nd skill.

After that, only add points to the 1st skill to increase arrow damage, and the 2nd skill pentuple arrow, to have a nice stream of arrows. Note the multiple arrows only hit a target once, while the area attack will hit multiple times.

INcrease atk and magic resistance. You won't need to worry about defense, as long as you play the range to it's advantage. Magic will still hit you however, so i recommend buffinf resitance.

Basic thief stuff~
* accuracy 100% ~
First skill point goes into the basic atk skill
then the second skill point goes into the basic atk skill.
just spam that first skill^^ increase atk and magic resistance.

Thief is best if you run and gun, in my opinion. A fully buffed basic attack (especialy after getting merlin;'s hat) is devastating and will wipe out enemies and bosses very quikly.

Low hp is an issue, be mindful of those potions!

Basic warrior stuff!

I hate this hero. Spam 2nd skill and just raise atk and movement speed a bit.
That's all i got sadly~

Basic Wizard stuff~

DONT GET THE THIRD SKILL!~ That's pretty much it.

Make sure accuracy is 100%, get the 2nd skill oncem and spam the fireball skill and magic atk.

Use the fire bomb attack on seals to kill enemies as they spawn.

Basic Cleric stuff~

This is a fun class, you shoot a penetrating magic missle that bounces off walls once, and your 2nd skill creates a wall that multiplies the number of bullets you fire through it.
Each skill pioint into the sheild skill will increase this number by 1, you can have 10 bullets + for every 1 you shoot through this!

The third skill is a regen Hp skill, not too great but i suggest picking it up just in case~

Accuracy 100% Pump that magic atk stat up, use about 5 skill points on the shiled, and then start filling your basic attack with points.

PLace shiled, spawn seal enemies, fire like mad thriough it! (note- the shiled wil not protect you in any way, nor will it stop enemies, its just a device to multiply your bsic attack bulllets)

This class can be DEVASTATING !

Basic Necromancer stuffs~

Another odd class, and very weak in my opinion.
YOu can do two things- fire a slow magic bullet that scatters when it hits enemies (not as good as it sounds on paper)
The 2nd skill lets you rasie atk power , but it drains your hp as you uise it...

The 3rd skill sumons skeletons. Yep! And the rules of the dungoen difficulty affect the summoned skeletons , too!
So if your on 2nd loop, and enemeis are super fast? Your skeletons will also be super fast!
But they are also super weak.
They make for nice meat shields, and you canliterally have dozens of them on screeem at high levels.

They can be fun, but sadly they are pretty useless on nightmare difficutly and higher.
You wont die if you're careful, but it's SO BORING AND SLOW~

Play necromancer if you liek slow , weak characters that don't die easliy.

Basic Beserker stuff~

INcrease his movement speed stat, his atk stat and magic resistance stats.

Get the 2nd skill and raise your basic hammer attack, and the 2nd skill altenatively.
use the spinning atk to wipe out seal enemies as they spawn.

Increasing points in the 2nd skill increase the length of time you spin for, raising your first attack incrases the damage output of 2ns atk as well.

Basic Night blade stuffs~

a very odd character!
It uses a slow powerful hammer that can turn into a ranged chakra weapon (with very very bad aim)
the 3 skills are kinda useless. The third skill is always avialable, it turns your hammer into a ranged chakra, and back into a hammer, the only thing increasing points into the 3rd skill does is increases the damage of the first strike ONLY after switching weapon type. very useless.

The 2nd skill is odd too, it makes you charge forward at your cursor and it increases defense too....it's very lame, skip it.

My strategy is use chakra only, increase accuracy to 100% atk stat and magic resitance. and just pump that first amd third skill point up for damage.

Basic engineer stuffs!

this is NOT an easy character to use!
Your two attacks are little homing mines that you can send out, they wuill hit an enemy, or you can place cursor on enemy and they hit it prettymuch intstantly.

The other skill places mines aournd your hero. There;s one issue, it won;t let you place the mines if there's not enough room to place the markers, so it's very dangerous to be stuck ina hallway with nothign but mines.

The upside to mines is they seem to deflect magical attacks... so you can place them around you and send your little nanobot mines after enmies , wjhile you stay inside the safety barrier of mines ^^

Place mines around a spawn point and then trigger it ^^ then run around corner and send your homing mines out to finsih up what;s left.

Raise the atk stat, the speed stat, magic resistance and defense stat,
a very, very slow character, but it's also very very strong!

Level up faster!
You gain ascension experince as you kill enemies, and this experience will affect how much stat points you get per level up oin a dungeon, so it;s very important to get your characters ascended fast!

(Also, a special treat for those that get a 5 star hero, I won't spoil it here)

You gain more expeiernce the higher the difficutly you choose, if thr game is too dificult, play on easy until you get the hang of things, and get comfortable using a particular hero.

Once you are comfy, start playing on normal, you'll notice no shiled to start,. and selas will spawn double the number of enemies.]

Whan you have increased your passive stats enough to have a healthy start, you can start to try for loops in normal ^^

Every time you pass through the levels, and beat the"last boss" you start again at the ifirst dungoen, with all your current stats, equipment, skills and whatnot, but now the enemeis are faster, harder, and all mixed up!

Also, you get a TON OF GOLD! This is a good and easy way to bank tons of gold to raise those passive stats!

Once you have gotten the hang of thimgs you can start to asecned more charcters, especially after a good amount of passives have been applied, thansk to your gold farming on normal ^^

You can then try to play on nightmare difficulty, this will give you three times the experircne!
enemies are also 300% stronger, so be veruy very careful!

Even to a fully maxed out 5 star hero with all passives maxed.. you can die very quickly.
The upside is yopu keep all that ascension exp even if you die fast!

You will develepo strategies to survive floor1, that wull be the hardest part... after you level up to 8~10 things will get alot easier, and you will lieklty be level 7~8 on floor 1 !

The trick is get your charcters levels on the first floor, and lave a seal untouched, so you can run around and continue to hunt enemies out, gain more expience.
As long as you don't unlock all seals, the reddemer will never come, and you can farm mobs all
day!

I recommned you do this on the first floors because that first boss (whetehre it's merlin, or the ghost skeleton king) on nightmare.. it will crush you fast if you don;t have a plan!

So boost yourslef as much as possilble before activating the last seals~!

Best starter guide I've read. I wish I'd read it BEFORE I'd learned all of this.. Great to read for new players, or just struggling players.

About the Nightblade, by the way. I love to put one point in the second skill, because the rush forward isn't affected by slow debuffs, and also makes corridors with spike traps VERY easy.
