So looks like a lot of people are rating this game on the PC pretty harshly due to the new update which disables achievments once you have modding enabled... Which lets all be honest, we all have mods, while some are not close to cheating, some are extremely cheaty. However no matter what mods you have, achievements are disabled after the 1.5 update. Now this doesnt mean you shouldnt update, this just calls for a hotfix mod via the nexus and scripts.

Requirements

First you will need F4SE. (Fallout 4 Script Extender)

Next you will need the mod.

If you do not know how to install mods, this guide is not for you... Otherwise why would you have gone here silly.

When ever you want to play the game, you have to launch it via the F4SE application, if the original launcher pops up, do not use it, close out and try launching via the F4SE.

: There is a comment regarding that you dont exactly have to launch via the F4SE exactly, and that you can find a way around that. If you want to know how to do that, here is the comment by alike03;
"If you still want to launch it through Steam overlay you should create a BATCH file with a simple notepad and type

start "" "D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam Games\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\f4se_loader.exe"

and save this as Fallout4.bat

then right click Fallout 4 in Steam and click on Properties, then click the "Set Launch Options" button.

Now you should now enter the batch file location with the %command%. Mine looks like this.
"D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam Games\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Fallout4.bat" %command%

Now you should be able start it directly from Steam"
