I beat the full game of Sonic Zoom with all the Chaos Emeralds. It was hard though, but this is one of my favorite mods. :)

With a beautiful artstyle, fantastic 8-bit remixes, and amazing level design this has got to be one of my favorite classic Sonic mods.

Highly recommended to fans of Sonic 1. The level design takes really great advantage of the physics & terrain engine, and the special stages are also excellent.

Generally the level of fake difficulty is low while the challenge ratchets up satisfyingly over the course of the game, keeping things fairly relaxed for the most part. The gloves come off once you get to Frantic Factory though, and the final boss is a real killer. Good luck!

Be sure to collect 50 rings when visiting special stages to stock up on continues. The hack can be stingy on extra lives, and they can run out quickly.

As a Sonic 1 hack, 4 stars out of 4.

Liked it a lot. Level design could have used some work towards the end though
