Overall tutorial
1. Introduction

Tutorial is dedicated to new players and some people who want to beat the top players, but are stuck a bit. It covers mostly basics and overall thoughts about the game. Every aspect is described but not detailed.

What makes Deadbreed so attractive for me and different than other moba games?

To make long story short, since you all probably know that after just few games:
- objectives
- timer and points
- dungeons

Here in Deadbreed objectives are not that that contested since you can pick them anytime.
However, You should know when to contest them, when not.
For example Graveyard puts a lot of pressure to contest the blood drop since there is only one. Sometimes more important may be just to block enemy from activating objective, then summoning it itself (troll, bell, Golem).
Not saying moments like playing versus Domini, where blocking him all the blood drops, weakens him strongly.

2. Know the meta (mechanics)

Right now, since the game is new, there is no "meta" established itself. However we have some more solid picks and some trash. Some good
team-compositions and some bad ones. Get familiar with that, look at the top leaderboard.
Try every hero, read it's abilities, get familiar with cooldowns, think about what he can go good with, what he can be good counter-pick to:

God Tier (OP, nerf):
Brimstone , Brood

Solid Tier (really strong):
Frost Gemini, Domini, Demonata, Nekros, Lilith*, Anuran**

Well Tier (not strong):
Cinder, Corpus, Ivy***

Meh Tier (not really working):
Pyre Gemini, Cusp

*Lilith in good hands, composition and a proper build jumps to god tier.
However, being countered early, she is not that strong then.

** Really powerful in double Anuran combo.

*** Hard to learn, hard to master.
However, being played as support, in skilled hands jumps to strong well tier.

3. Be FAST (tempo)

This games starts instantly and has no time to "wait for".
Go rush dungeons for XP advantage, go contest enemy banner, catch enemy in their dungeon. Get resources or do any move, BEFORE even "Thirty seconds to minions spawn" appears.

Get familiar with your build, there is no time to shopping. Do it as fast as you can. Try to remember prices you need so you can go back fast, shop and make a quick comeback to battlefield.
Unfortunately we cannot take a look at shop while on battlefield, which could be sometimes useful. I hope devs will improve it soon.

4. Know the maps, timers (game-play)

Get knowledge when does a blood spawn on each map, get knowledge when map resourse spawn at which time same goes for other resources.
This allows you to get on the spot 2-5 seconds before it spawns, contest it or just steal, get it free without wasting much time.
Same goes for the objectives:
- What is Golem duration time?
- When troll 'resurrects'?
- How does the skeletons stack with map resource?

I do not want to provide you everything, since it should be included in Deadbreed's wiki. But I can consider writing stand-alone map tutorials in future.
Right now, take some effort - go practice mode, get your stopwatch and test it out. Trust me, you will have it in your blood without even thinking about it later.

5. Make a use of banners (game-play)

I personally usually use the banner to speed myself and my teammate up.
We try to get enemies banner, since both of them stack on you.
If you don't feel confident, leave it in your base and do the same with enemies so both teams are at the same movement speed level.
I usually seldom burn enemy banner but in some long, control games it may be deciding point of a game either you get this 6 points or you don't.
After burning a banner it automatically spawns at the stand, so you can split:
One person burning the banner and the other one instantly picking up another one. (Resulting in 12 points or a new banner)

6. Artifacts (mechanics)

The most important thing of the game.
They are OP -> Get them -> Use them -> Put gems in them.
Right now it's all I can say. They make huge difference.
[here place for another - artifact guide]

7. Communication (game play)

I really recommend you to customize the ping hotkeys.
For me Numpad 1-9 is not comfortable so i decided to make it like it is in other mobas for me: (b -> danger ; c -> on my way; v -> enemy missing).
there is a lot of them, feel free to customize and use them.

Have a good mind-set.
Don't rage. Don't flame. Don't get upset if you are losing against top 10 players. Learn from your mistakes, from their moves and beat them one day.

And the last, most important:
WATCH MINI-MAP. It's sometimes more important than your screen.

8. Summary and conclusions:

The game mechanics is quite similar to mmo+moba style. Knowledge of LoL/Dota/hots/anymoba and Diablo/WoW/PoE/anymmorpg helps a lot.
However, the game has some more depth, which you should get familiar with and find out. Feel free to ask me here or on steam.

9. Tl;dr
idc.

I will consider writing more specific, detailed tutorials (maps, breeds, artifacts) if there is a need in a future and the community will grow.

Hope you enjoyed and I wish you good luck!
Let's grow this game.
