This may or may not work for you, but after testing out different settings, this was the conclusion.

Game Language = Clock Language

Yes, this game bases it's language off of what region your clock is set to. Even after changing the AppLocale to English(USA), mine was still in Japanese. Closed the game and changed clock settings to United Kingdom or any English speaking country, and it should be in English.

I prefer my dates in yyyy-mm-dd format okay?!
