Inquisitor-Class Assault Cruiser Mk.III

설명
DISCLAIMER:
This is the latest version of the Inquisitor-Class. The previous version (Mk.II) was featured in the Planet Release Trailer and is currently on the workshop, uploaded by Xocliw for Keen.

Known Issue:
1. Turret groupings aren't complete at the moment.
2. The thrusters are off by default yet turned on in the control panel. To remedy, simply jump in any seat and jump out, and the thrusters should come online.

History:
It's unknown what classification the Inquisitor-Class was originally given when first built by the Nemesis Engineering Corporation (NEC). Words like "gunboat" and "attack craft" float around the books, though they don't really fit something like this.

The NEC and Larson Engineering entered into a joint project to bring the Inquisitor-Class up to snuff and really find a place for it amongst the ships of the Xebon Naval Service.

This resulted in the Inquisitor-Class Mk.II, designated as a heavy destroyer. The Mk.II was a reasonable vessel with 34 guns and jump capability, but the new nacelles were patchwork rushjobs brought over from other Larson Engineering ship designs to give the Inquisitor more punch. Add to that the weakness of the forward observation deck and you had a vessel that saw moderate use, but nothing of any real note except for the two that travelled with the response fleet during the planetary attack on Earthlike.

The NEC and Larson Engineering decided to go to work again, putting in more resources to create something truly unique. This was the Mk.III, now uprated to an assault cruiser due to its heavy armour, heavier armament, and its new sustainability in its onboard factory.

New nacelles gave the Mk.III its own look, with powerful hydrogen engines fitted to help aid the lumbering beast in her manoeuvres. Lateral and Vertical movement is a weakness of the new vessel, but she's well equipped to drop into a fight and outlast the enemy.

It actually has two, they are just behind the large reactors in the engineering bay, so you always have one charged for an emergancy jump!

Does this ship have a jump drive?

@Hellothere Ah yeah ok that explains that.

The ship is probably my number one favourite at this point in time (With the Humpback at a close second) but I didn't really think it got all that much exposure in the trailer... I suppose the accent lighting helps.

Sorry, that was actually my bad. I usually access the workshop from a profile through the recent games list, but SE isn't among them on your steam and in the all games list you can't access the workshop at all. After just looking a second time I found a button in the sidebar.

And I would have recognized this ship in an instant even without the title. After all I also recognized xocliw's upload as the the ship in the trailer when he released it. :)

@Hellothere Not sure about the workshop submission thing... I've no clue if there's a privacy setting I can change.

It's true that a lot might not know it's the Inquisitor, but people who are to think I've stolen it have likely seen the workshop version since the Inquisitor really doesn't show up very much in the trailer.

I'll be moving the disclaimer to the top, and doing the same with all my other builds, since you've made good points.

sorry, accidentally hit the post button.

Here is the rest of the comment. I knew from the livestream that Xowcliw was not the one who build these ships.
I also subscribed to the version of the ship Xowcliw uploaded for Keen, so I knew how to find it and verify you as the creator.
In addition to that the discussion in the comments before me left me curious, which is the only reason I went through the effort of looking it up in first place.

The thing is, you see people who repost slightly altered Keen ships every day and it gets kind of annoying after a time.
Another problem is that at least I can't access the list of your workshop submissions on your profile (privacy settings maybe) so the only way to find out that you are a co-creator on the widely known ship is to search it out on the workshop and look at it there.

Most people will probably also not know that the original ship is also called inquisitor and you didn't just rename it while stealing, so they have no real starting point for their search.

Few people will go through that kind of effort and instead just leave this workshop page and look elsewhere.

The only reason I didn't do the same was because a) I knew from a live stream that

@Hellothere Yes, Qestroy originally built the Inquisitor, then we together made it into the ship that Keen used for the planetary release trailer. After that trailer we worked on the ship to bring it more up to date, which is what is seen here.

I have little sympathy for people who can't even take the time to look at the creators of a workshop submission before claiming it as stolen, considering I am marked as the creator on both.
Hellothere 2016년 4월 20일 오후 1시 20분
Wait, so you are the original creator and made it for the trailer/ agreed to have it used there? And now you made a newer version?

I'd reccommend you to state this very explicitly at the start of yourr description. Otherwise people will just assume you stole it and become confused, maybe even leave before they read your current disclaimer.
