How to survive cyber bullying from your cores
By Don't Startle Me
How to survive cyber bullying from your cores is a support guide on how to remain friendly even in the most toxic games. Being positive and never giving up is extremly important, flaming or talking back to your big mean cores helps no one. Somtimes it's better to either say nothing or to come with positive messages like "WE CAN DO THIS GUYS" or "Sorry, i should have tried to help" even if you know you couldn't have helped in any way even if you tried. A negative team with a low morale has way lower chances of winning, so buckle up my fellow support players, i'm going to share a secret with you.

The team morale is sinking
Your mid laner just died for the 4th time in a row, or your offlaner just tped in and insta died, maybe your safelaner got ganked? Either way things are looking grim, there is a tense mood on your team.

With low morale comes the posibility of players getting tilted / salty. chances are they will play more carelessly and risk lowering the morale even more. At this point it's very important that you no matter how well you are doing tell your team to not give up. And if someone is flaming you or another member of your team, tell them that flaming helps no one and that it only lowers the team morale, if he continues to flame you, ask your team to mute said player, also mute him/her yourself.

Boosting morale is not only about preventing further loss of morale, it is important to remember to put in a friendly

>Well Played!

if someone gets a kill, or does somthing good. This will make the player feel good about themselves, boosting morale and raising the hope of your teammates.

Just make sure you never use well played before you are absolutely sure whatever happend was a good thing, if you see mid gets a kill, don't say >well played right away in case he dies shortly after, then the well played could be taken as a flame and suddenly you are your own worst enemy. If said thing happends just make sure to note that you did not mean the well played as a flame.

If a team fight breaks out where both teams lose roughly 50/50 it can be a good thing to note that it was a ok trade.

Always, always stay positive, NO MATTER WHAT.
Your team just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up big time
Okok, your team just made a mistake, we all make mistakes. Remember that flaming helps no one, the one thing you can do is say something productive like...

"Magnus, this is not a flame but maybe next time try to save rp until mid fight"

The Magnus can then chose to either accept the advice or ignore it completly, either way the chances of him listening to you are WAAAAAAY greater than the chances if you said...

"RETARDED MAGNUS PIECE OF ♥♥♥♥ WASTING HIS RP IN THE START OF THE FIGHT, SAVE IT MID FIGHT YOU ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RUSSIAN IDIOT, REPORTED YOU ♥♥♥♥♥♥".

No one likes flamers.

No one listens to flamers.

The enemy team just got rekt
Yay! your team just wiped the enemy team 5 for 0.

It might be tempting to say somthing like...

"lmao rekt noobs"

"Ez"

"Nice black hole"

Just don't, and if your teammates says somthing like that, tell them to stop. It does nothing but make the game a unpleasant place to be, and if the enemy team ever end up wiping you back, be sure that they will have quite a few things to say back to you, being spammed with "ez" "noob" "lmao" does not feel good after dying. Being friendly is always a good thing, this extends to the enemy team aswell. If the enigma 5 man black holed you, why not say...

"woah nice black hole dude! :D"

For one, it slightly makes it better that you just got team wiped, since atleast it was because of a good enigma and not because your team played badly (might have been that too!). Also it makes the game more enjoyable for everyone, with friendly players on both teams, you can focus on using your skills to the fullest. Without being worried about being targeted by the enemy hard carry cause you called him an idiot earlier. There is no reason to be a ♥♥♥♥. Imagine if 100% of the dota comunity were nice kind hearted people that love eachother! <3
Being blamed
Somthing bad just happend and one of your cores seems to think it was your fault.

As a support you often get blamed for things that happend to your cores, if it's the lack of "good" wards or the fact that you did not tp to help mid. Maybe your heal did not have enough range to save your laning partner, either way you are being blamed. When the toxic storm rushes towards you, it's important to remain calm and collected. If it indeed was your fault that your core died, try saying "sorry" or ">My Bad" and make sure to tell them you will do better next time. If it wasn't your fault and you could have done nothing to help them, don't call them an idiot / ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Instead it can be a good thing to just pretend like you could have done somthing, by saying things like "I should have tried to help you" anything that might calm down your teammate. It does not matter if you did or did not do anything wrong, as long as you know if you did the right thing nothing else matters.

It does not matter if your core feels like he has to blame someone for his own mistakes, anything that helps your teammates feel better about the game is worth it. Sacrificing your own pride for team morale is 100% worth.

Commending
Commends are reserved for people who were friendly, had a strong leader role, someone who teached you somthing or people who forgave somthing. But commends can also be used as a morale booster.

Unfortunatly we're only given a locked ammount of commends that we can then hand out to others. meaning somtimes you have to fake give a commend, saying "commended sf" after he was friendly or came up with a plan even though you might not have a commend left to give. it will certainly make shadow fiend more friendly, and make him feel good and chances are he will try harder to keep showing off whatever "skill" earned him the commend in the first place.

I dont even play this game but this guide is exactly how i would like to see people doing in games in general.

When i am losing but i had a good match, why call someone hacker or annoy them? The reason i had a good match was because my enemies were doing good, so i tell them they are good. I find no weakness in accepting that your enemy is better. Also, when i am losing, i dont be rude to my team on team-based games, i just do my best and if i see theres really nothing we can do, i just get a meme weapon/character and try to enjoy whats left of the match.

Taunting the enemy never really was nice for me, neither annoying your team because someone isnt pro. Take you time to teach them and maybe they can be even better than you.
Its not hard to see people quitting entire games because they just installed it and dont know how to play, i dont even want to play DOTA 2 because i heard the community is really bad.

Thanks for at least trying to make the gaming community a better place.

But this is dota2 not the old dota
Dota2 community is really famous with toxic players everywhere
We can't just can't..
It's way too hard to stay positive in this kind of toxic game :(

I made a joke one time to reduce to heat of the match
It's like this "Why this sniper is so fast?"
"Because he's called sniper! Oh wait that's scout.. TF2 jokes"
And no everyone just ignored me afterwards and keep flaming with rude words
>I immediately regrets my decision :(

If you ask for help, if you come to your supports with a specific problem and they chose not to help you then they are not doing a good job, if they feel the need to flame you've asked for help, then honestly just mute them, Always try to talk things out first though.
