Swindon-Cheltenham 1950's V1.1 Swn-Kemble and Swindon Town

The name Swindon is synonymous with British steam enthusiast everywhere. While controversial in some 'political' decisions, the Great Western turned out some fine locomotives from their 300+ hectare site which makes the hub of this route. The most famous line through this railway town is undoubtedly the GWR mainline from London Paddington to Bristol and Cornwall. However it once was a junction for no less than 3 other lines to Swindon Town, Gloucester and Highworth of which one of these remain open.

I have/am modeled/ing the section from Swindon Central to Gloucester and Cheltenham over the formidable Sapperton bank. In conjunction with this I am also creating the Midland & South Western Junction Railways's route from Swindon Town to Cheltenham via Cirencester and Andoversford. A short section of this is preserved in the 'Swindon and Cricklade Railway'. On top of this several short branches are also in the pipeline such as the Kemble to Cirencester branch and the Highworth line.

This version 1 extends for 14 miles from Swindon to Kemble, 3 miles from Swindon to Swindon Town as well as the stretch from Rushey Platt junction to Moredon Power Station. This section should be updated as the route progresses so all feedback is welcome!
