Opis
Midwest America
Dear Sir/Madam

Following a compulsary acquisition by the state government, a huge swath of countryside has been marked for the construction of a new urban centre. The incoming mayor is therefore advised that existing agricultural infrastructure such as gravel roads may have to be upgraded or removed in order to fit large streets and avenues.

The development sits on the side of Lake Mascouten, a landlocked freshwater lake. Much of the coastline is marshland or swamp and will need terraforming to be modernised.

Unfortunately, due to budget constraints the main road leading to the starting site is a one-lane undivided highway which will require expansion once more investment reaches the city.

Good Luck

Description
Midwest America is a map inspired by the landscapes of the 'Midwest' - a region of the United States of America. The map attempts to replicate the endless gridlike agricultural divisions found in US states like Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois. Coastline covers a small fraction of the tiles on one side of the map, allowing players to construct a Chicago, IL inspired city in they desire.

Details
- Base map created using World Machine's procedural terrain generation capabilities.
- Agricultural divisions have gravel roads lining each paddock/field and may be used to help guide your city planning.
- Almost entirely flat central zone with some undulating hills that increase in size the further out you go.
- 3 Highway Connections (1 National Road to the Starter Tile, with 2 other 3-Lane Highway connections available).
- Note: No ship connections in the official release of this map but you are free to add them yourself should you need them.

Recommended Mods:

- Map Theme: Realistic V1.0.2 Temperate
http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=629040688

- It is intended that players use the 25 Tile Mod.

- The map has also been designed to support the 81 Tile Mod
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=576327847

- Unlimited Trees Mod is recommended considering the tree count is between 260k-270k.

Updates

--16/04/2016--

- Removed Network Extension Roads (replaced with either 2-way street or 3-lane highway depending on the context).

- Reduced tree count to about 230,000.

- Added a missing bush to the required assets list.

-------------------------------------------------

--29/04/2016--

- Re-uploaded map with no mods activated. This should hopefully address an issue where people are unable to load the map.

@MyDudes44 do you live in the Midwest? It's pretty hilly there, unless you're talking about the whole line of states on the western border.
