Installing KK INS2/DOI SWEPs (2018)

Install guide for [CW 2.0] KK INS2/DOI SWEPs for Micro$oft Windows operating system.

This swep pack consists of few separate parts. First and mandatory is Base pack that only requires base INS2 game files. Rest of sub-packs/extensions (EXT,DOI,B2K,AO5) is completely optional and each one of them requires extra content to work.

Installing Base pack
  1. locate your Insurgency install folder.



  2. now open "insurgency" sub-folder (it should have file called "gameinfo.txt" in it) and copy full path to this "sub-folder"



  3. paste full path into (preferably on top of) mount.cfg. DO NOT START THIS LINE WITH //.


That`s it. Make sure you keep correct syntax of mount.cfg (no extra /-s, even number of "", {}),

[OPTIONAL] Installing EXT Pack
  1. Download content from https://github.com/lubor-slusny/CW2_KK_INS2_ext either as a .zip



    or using your favourite git client
    git clone https://github.com/lubor-slusny/CW2_KK_INS2_ext



  2. Move/extract downloaded files into your Garry's Mod addon folder


Occasionally, Base pack updates might require you to update this content as well. In that case you will see notification in game chat saying
[KK INS2 SWEPS] Hi, you seem to be using outdated EXT pack content. Make sure you download updated version from GitHub.
and you willl need to either redownload whole thing in zip or "git pull" the changes.

If you dont own INS2 or DOI on Steam, you can still use their Dedicated Server content with these sweps. Dedicated servers for both games are downloadable for free using SteamCMD.

Overview of the process:
  1. download steamcmd
  2. start steamcmd
  3. type in
    login anonymous
  4. type in
    app_update 237410
  5. wait for download to finish, if it finishes seemingly too fast (for your connection and 6+GB) then repeat previous step until it says "...up to date..."
  6. dedicated server content you need for gmod will be downloaded to
    <folderWhereSteamCMD.exeIs>/steamapps/common/Insurgency Dedicated Server/insurgency
  7. once you identify path above, put it into your mount.cfg. Example
    "ins2" "F:\steambs\steamapps\common\Insurgency Dedicated Server\insurgency"
    "F:\steambs" means I extracted steamcmd.exe onto my F: drive, into "steambs" folder. Your paths are likely to differ.

You really should consider packing all of the ins contents into the main addon

i have a bug i dont have ins2 or anything installed / Buyed / And when i download the free packs i cannot reload the Mags only clips or slugs

How would you do this on mac? Cause i have the insurgency and the mount cfg but the image path format is different. So idk

I'm running a Garry's Mod server, dedicated. I've installed insurgency and day of infamy, added all mount.cfg link. I've unpacked all vfg, only could unpack the _dir.vfg with the vfg.exe in my servers bin folder. All of BTK works, ao5 doesn't show up, and only one weapon on the base addon shows up (Mk19). Do I need to use GCFScape that's outdated or the vfg.exe works?

Thanks for any help.

daym ppl still caring for this crap, ins2 not getting updates any more and NWI not caring about their content being all over gmod's workshop for years... I guess I should finally pack all ins contents into main addon lol
