Are You Sure That You Are Good?
Literally everyone in this beloved community thinks that they are GOOD. But...How good is good? Is buying the right item consider as good? Can juking consider as good? Well, let's talk about it in this section. (Don't mind the screenshot, it have nothing to do with this)

As the section above stated, people likes to blame others. And they will think that they are really great and all. Just like how you will watch a replay of a match where you went 20/0/0. Everyone had a dream of becoming one of the "pro" players in Dota 2. Do you know that watching a competitive matches will make you good? You can learn a lot more than just plain playing. Watching Pro could make you pro. But, what does it take to be a pro player? Having a high MMR? Nope, MMR don't matter most of the time. It's about how you play with your team. Just like one of the Mineski's member. Having a really low MMR compared to other pro players. Mineski is not really a tier 1 team but it can be call as Pro or 1/2 Pro Team. (if that make any sense). With that, MMR don't matter. So...if they are PRO, that means that they are GOOD right? I don't know the answer to that. Wait a second....this wasn't the topic I wanted to touch on.......Meh, just gonna end this by saying : You can be a PRO, but you have to be qualified to be it. "Oh, im really good, i went 20/0 in that one game." That is not consider as GOOD.

GOOD Supports
Me, myself is a support player most of the time.
1)Knowing where to place a ward is important.
2)Predicting where the enemy placed their wards.
3)Buying smoke for ganks.
4)Grab some health and mana regen for the carry when they are low on their pool.
5)Stack and pull.
6)Stack, Stack and Stack.
Carrying a town portal scroll to prepare for counter gank. BLA BLA BLA....
But being a REALLY GOOD support is never easy. To really understand support, you HAVE to play as a carry. Then, you will understand the role of a support better.

GOOD Carry
Carry, the most played role in Dota 2 and yet no one knows how to play it.
1) LAST HITTING- This is the most important thing you have to keep in mind while playing as a carry. The main thing you have to do is to last hit and NOT WASTING any creep kills. And...Please turn off auto-attack.
2) Stay alive.
3)Join your team as much as possible unless you are a heavily farm reliant hero.
4)Knowing who to jump on during teamfights.
5) Buying the right item.
Same as support, To learn how to carry is to play support.

Now, let's skip offlane and midlaner since that's not the main point here.
Knowing all 100+ heroes in the game is a must to be consider as GOOD
Not by watching other playing it or reading guides. The best part about Dota 2 is to explore the big world of dota 2. Learning every hero is the best thing you can ever do in your life. By playing every hero in the game, you will understand what that hero is lack of. Able to understand what that hero can do and what he can't do can help you to play GOOD.
Guides are not gonna help you much. Do you think it's possible to play invoker really well by looking at guides? Guides MAKES YOU A PUPPET and that's NOT DOTA 2
Best way to learn is through experience.

There are some very education video about dota 2 in youtube. Educational in a way that it teaches you some cool tricks you can do.
Top YouTube Channels About Dota 2 That can help you to be GOOD.
1) Baumi - A German dude who uploads his Dota 2 games with an amazing commentary. Bringing you the best dota 2 video in YouTube. He played every single hero in the game.
2)DotaCinema - Hero Spotlights is what most new players should look forward to. Although some of the videos are pretty outdated, it still gives you a brief explanation of what the spells do.
3)Dannygamingnc- Another dota 2 gameplay commentator. Much serious and lesser talking compared to Baumi. Very educational and friendly. You can check him out on twitch from Monday to Friday.

Some sites also worth mentioning
1)Gamepedia- Have everything you need. From Heroes to Items. From Items to Patches. All in one package.
2)Liquipedia- giving you the newest news and changes in the game

So, to sum everything up, Watching Competive Matches can help you to be GOOD.
Playing the hero yourself is a better way of learning a hero than reading a guide.
Do some research. Get experience and learn from your mistakes. That's Dota 2. You are the player not the PUPPET.

Who should we blame?
We often receive teammates that have no idea what they are doing in our team. Sometimes, it's easier to put the blame on one of our teammates everytime we lose a game. But. Did you played GOOD enough? No one thinks that they are bad and no one likes to be call "noob". But before you put the blame on anyone, try to think of what you could do in some part of the game. Like for example, you could have bought a bkb or you could have tp to the midlane to turn the fight around. The best way to learn is through watching your replay. Watching a replay DOESN'T mean games that you destroyed the enemy team. Watch replays on games that you had lost. Look at teamfights and think of what you could have done better. For example, kill the Witch Doctor over the Centaur Warrunner that have 3k health pool. If you have saved buyback the game could be in your bag. Everyone take a big responsible in a game. Dota 2 is a team game. You can blame the randomed Invoker player in your team for randoming, but....if you play the game without blaming and crying, you are sure to win. The BIGGEST reason why you aren't in competitive scene is because you are lack of teamwork and you can't admit your mistakes. If you do something wrong, BE A MAN and ADMIT IT. COWARDS DO THAT AND THAT AIN'T YOU.
I had a game yesterday, as usual, 4 carries line up and bla bla bla........ We have a necrophos/necrolyte mid against a clockwerk. He got gank by Lion and he blamed us for not calling missing. Well, yes it is our fault but he's not completely right. Where is his map awareness? Me, playing as Ancient Apparition, I HAD a ward on the rune spot which a normal human can see the Lion running into the midlane. Well, i have to take responsibility for not calling missing in the first place. After that one gank, he kept running around in circle and got killed 4 times in a row. And...Guess what? He blamed us again. Even that one time where he used his ult on a clockwerk that had his cogs up and it's impossible to get to him. He HAD 100% health. I don't know what was he thinking, probably wants to stun him I guess. Clockwerk just walked away with full health. Everyone did something wrong in the game, no one is perfect. It's not like you have never done anything wrong. No One Wins Forever, No One Lose Forever. Let's talk about something else.
Why Do We Play Dota 2 In The First Place?
Everytime we win a game, we feel happy and got motivated. Everytime we lose a game, we feel sad and down. So, what is the purpose of playing dota 2? 5 person in every game will feel happy and stuff but the other 5 will feel down. So, we win games just to make someone feel sad? So ask yourself this, Why Are You Enjoying Winning Games? Try viewing it in your opponent's perspective. That's all for now, Peace.
Valve's suggested item is a curse
The classic Iron branches, tango, healing salve , clarity and circlet are great. It gives you the stats, both hp and mana regen. For example, a better starting item build for mid heroes usually will be null talisman and tango, or wraith band and tango. For the safelane carries, it is often to see stout shield, queling blade and tango on them. It gives you everything you need as a carry(melee). Enable you to tank a little more damage, dealing more damage to creeps and you can also eat trees. Back to the topic, the second reason why the suggested item is bad, OUTDATED.
Example of this can be shown for faceless void's suggested item. The pre 6.86 void build with MoM, Butterfly, Daedalus and bunch of carry items. In the current meta, Faceless void loss his carry potential. His time walk can't bring him to his enemies as much anymore(the distance). I had a match with invoker and i have this faceless void in my team, he went for the exact same build as the suggested items. He couldn't deal any damage because he is a void. Better build would be Blink Dagger over all the carry items.
Next example will be Weaver's Suggested item.
Placing Linken's Sphere as a CORE ITEM will misguide the new players.
Linken's sphere is more of a situational item than a core item. The mana regen is great and all but that is not what a weaver need. Having his passive, that send another attack right after the first one, this is basically a double damage rune except it includes your additional damage(not base 2x like double damage rune). Seeing Weaver in pubs buying first item linken's sphere is eye burning.

Moral of the Story = Don't trust any guides, Create the guide yourself, Because you are the one PLAYING the game not Valve.(and all other players)
Sister's Thoughts On Invoker by Ms. JenniFUR
The most annoying wizard/ magus in Dota 2. The almighty Carl, The Invoker.
Been watching my best friend Zee playing invoker and even tried it out myself. It is time to tell you about my thoughts on him.
When we talk about invoker, what are the things that come into our mind?
  • 10 spells
  • Planets orbiting around him
  • Meatball summoner
  • Sniping heroes from all across the map
Let's go through all 10 spells that this genius have.Let's start with the basic of all, the tiny planets. Q - QuasInvoker summons a Pluto[icy planet] It gives invoker health regeneration as he moves across the battlefield. Stats gained : Strength
W - WexInvoker summons a blazing planet. Melting enemies' health by just right clicking them. Stats gained : Agility
E - ExortInvoker summons an electricity-filled planet. It gives you shocking movement speed as you walk across the battlefield.
Here comes the interesting part. *note that these are just here to give you an idea of what they do*
Q-Q-QCold SnapInstant stun when casted. Most annoying stun in the game. [Yes, even more annoying than witch doctor's] Everytime i got hit by this, i'll be like "Oh Snap"
Q-Q-WGhost WalkSpooky~~~ Invoker uses the invisible cloak that he stole from Harry Potter. Sneaky wizard.
Q-Q-EIce WallYou can step in but you can't step out.
W-W-QTornado3000+ range. Area of effect Eul Scepter. What goes up, must come down.
W-W-WElectromagnectic PulseIt burns mana. Yep, that's it, mana burn.
W-W-EAlacrityGot nerfed really really badly. From 30 bonus damage at level 1 Exort to 10 damage at level 1 Exort. Still a pretty solid pickup for pushing lanes.
E-E-QForge SpiritsSummons 1 or 2 spirits that pierce throught your opponents armor rendering them vulnerable to physical attack. Shhh.....Don't tell anyone this. They give Gold
E-E-WThe Almighty Giant MeatballCloudy With A Chance Of Meatball Parody in Dota (O.O). My brother is amazing at creating image xD
E-E-ESunstrikeSniping players from all across the map. This wizard is so strong that even the Sun obeys him.
Q-W-EDeafening BlastIt's a ravage but better. Disarms, Knockback, Bigger Area Of Effect than ravage and higher damage. This makes him a Tidehunter - hunter.
The part where everyone is waiting for. How to play against this wizard?Silence is one of the best counter to invoker. What can a wizard do without his spells? The best way to counter him is to practise him. Once you know what he can do, you will no longer afraid of him. Fear is what causing most player to lost when up against an invoker. Like Sun Tzu's Art of War stated : Fear is the true enemy, the only enemy. He also stated : “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
