@Justin
Not at all dude, and by the way you really not use a good game for comparison, Quake 1 was just a very average port, and Quake 1 was an "early" N64 game, like many games of that first year of the N64 it really not used the full power of the N64 (even a good port would have not, that game was very blocky in comparison to later games) with some notable exeptions like Goldeneye, Waverace (for it 3d water effect)
Quake 2 was more like it, and for the most part, when the N64 games had drawbacks in comparison, it was usually always because the space limitation of the cartriges, really not of it power.

Are you on crack? If the N64 better than any PC in 96-97, please explain why Quake (1996 pc game) was so downgraded when ported to the N64 (lower resolution, far worse textures, reduced geometry detail, etc.)? Oh that's right, because the N64 was under-powered in comparison.

I always tought that the first Turok was N64 exclusive and that was Turok 2 the first on PC... apart from the fact that in 96-97 the N64 was better than any PC, came about equal in 98 with the famous benchmarks all over the magazines of the time of Turok 2 and Forsaken for it dynamic lighting effects, comparing the 2 platform showing that the PC was finally "there".
