This is a brief guide I am writing up quickly as the whole game is still fresh in my mind. This guide is not a complete walkthrough of the game, this guide is simply to help you get the true ending. I won't be posting how to survive every scenario, or solve every puzzle, these are just the things you need to pick up and do to get the game's True Ending in a brief and easy to follow way. I've purposely skipped over some major story events, outcomes, and puzzles to try and be as non-spoilery as possible, but there still are some minor spoilers obviously (I wouldn't recommend reading too far ahead of where you are).

All of this was discovered by me and a person named Baloonatic, who gave each other advice and worked together to solve some of the game's more cryptic things you need to do to get the true ending.

01.) After you have first evaded and escaped the Scissorwalker for the first time, you are able to find a store full of snacks and food. Go to the counter with the cash register and examine it to obtain Four Quarters, then go back to the room with the vending machines (where you first met the Scissorwalker) and put the four quarters into the Juice Vending Machine furthest to the right to get the key item, "Wedding Ring."

02.) When you get the cellphone and charge it, press the Cellphone tab (placed under your inventory), and enter SNS chat, and go to post your own message. Monica will punch in an SOS and about being stalked by a killer. Make sure to press post, and it will post it to people's social feed. Also make sure to go into the dark room (which you can explore once you pick up the phone by turning on the phone light) and answer the phone that rings in the bedroom.

03.) Once you've fixed the fuse and taken the elevator, when going back to the main lobby (where you met the guy scratching his neck right at the start of the game), you'll see some new boxes in the hallway. One of the boxes is blocking a door, push it out of the way, and inside of the room examine the lockers. A story event will happen, and once the event has finished, go back to the lockers and examine the body.

04.) When you reach the island, you'll come across a cabin. On the counter next to the relic fuel tank, you'll find some gloves. Pick them up.

05.) In the same room you picked up the gloves in Step 04, there is a radio you can interact with. With the radio, you can turn the dial. Set the dial to '16' and call for help.

06.) After you go through the caves and past the bonfire, you'll find a house in the woods. Go to the second floor. There are three things you must do here. First, there is a bookshelf. Examine the top of the bookshelf, and the professor will find some books in Russian, and say it all looks Greek to him. Examine the bookshelf a second time, and he'll notice a scribbling. Reading these will get you the memoirs.

07.) To the right to the bookshelf in Step 06, there is an interesting item on the table. Examine it, then go to your phone and type an SNS message. The professor will type it automatically, and make sure to post it to his social feeds. Also to the right of this table, make sure to examine the weird hand on the shelf and pick it up.

08.) When you get to the well, examine it, and then use the gloves you picked up in step 4 to climb down the rope (so you don't slip).

09.) When you go to Jerome's room, talk to him a bit and he'll eventually leave. The shower will start running, but don't examine the bathroom yet! Instead, go to his front door and examine the bottom of the door. There is an envelope at the foot of the door, pick it up and continue.

10.) Find Kelly in the movie theater labelled '3' and get her phone number by talking to her. She will call you when you try to go upstairs in the main hall of the theater. Go find her in the closed-off cargo hold that's to the left of the stairs on the first floor past the clothes shop with the mannequins. You have to call her cellphone number outside of the door for them to let you in. Inside, talk to Kelly until she gives you the two phone numbers for Monica and Jessica. Then talk to woman across from her, and she'll give you her husband's phone number (the phone Monica is holding instead of her actual phone). Also talk to Vigo (guy at the back of the room) to get his security stair keys (but do not go to the stairs yet!).

11.) Inside the child's room (which has a swing and some cribs, under the stairs in the main hall, first room to the right), you'll find a crib with a doll inside. The doll will come alive and attack you. As it attacks you, quickly press the first shelf to the right and Roonie will push it on-top of the doll. Observe the crib the doll came from, and you'll get Billiard Ball B. In the same room, examine the toddler's swing and you'll see an important scene.

12.) On the second floor (outside of the theater), you'll need to do two things. In the pool room you were in earlier, examine the new corpse there, and you'll be ambushed by the Scissorwalker. Evade him, then return and observe the body again to get the VIP Card (which you can't use until much later). In the opposite hallway, there's a bar you can get to with a jukebox in it. On the serving area of the bar, you can find Billiard Ball C (don't worry about Billiard Ball A, you won't get that until later). These will come in handy later.

13.) You'll meet Jerome on the Security Stairs (which you can access with the key you got from Vigo in Step 10). Make sure to give him the envelope you got from his room in Step 09.

14.) After going down the security stairs and escaping on the conveyor belt, you'll come to a room full of storage crates. Examine the single open crate next to the door you entered in and you'll find Monica's necklace. Call John's phone number (the one the lady in Step 10 gave to you) and one of the crates will make a ringing sound. Examine the crates, and Roonie will vocally inform when you've found the right crate. Try to open it and find that it's locked. Towards the back of the room, there's a few Forklifts, most of them are knocked over, but one stands up-straight. Use the forklift to ram into the crate John's phone goes off in, and then enter to find and save Monica.

15.) Talk to Monica a lot once you've saved her in Step 14. If you did steps 01 and 07 correctly, you'll get some information from Monica, which will make Roonie learn something she needs to know later for the True Ending, and afterwards she will give you the Wedding Ring from Step 01.

16.) A bit later, you'll run into Eric next to a dead body. After you've done what he's requested of you, talk to him before leaving up the ladder to the vents. If you did Step 14 and freed Monica, he'll eventually give you some medicine. Go back to where Monica is, and use the medicine on her.

17.) After going through the vents, you'll eventually end up in a medical room lit-up by a red light. There are some hospital sheets pulled to conceal some patient beds next to the door out of here. Go to the furthest sheet (which you can only pull away against the wall next to the door), and go inside. Turn off the life support system.

18.) If you got the Wedding Ring from Step 01, and then got it again from Monica in Step 15, you can find who the Wedding Ring belongs to in the clothes shop with the mannequins behind the changing sheet in the back. Give her the Wedding Ring, and she'll give you Billiard Ball A. You can get Billiard Ball B & C, and a VIP card you'll need from Step 11 & 12 (if you didn't get them then, you can get them now, though it might be a bit tougher to do now). You can use the VIP Card from Step 12 on the elevator next to the Bar with the Jukebox, but don't go up until you've gotten Billiard Balls A, B, & C.

19.) After using the VIP Elevator, go to the room to your left, and examine the computer, then examine the notebook right next to the computer (to the computer monitor's left), then examine the computer again to read a diary.

20.) When in the Captain's Quarters, examine the safe to pick up an odd item. Examine the drawer (between the door you came in and the bookshelf with a puzzle on it) to find a photo.

21.) When the Scissorwalker is closely approaching you, use the odd item you got from the safe from Step 20 on yourself.

And there you go, you will obtain the true ending! Many of the other endings can be obtained by messing up steps along the route to getting the true ending.
