As good a guide as I can make right now for this achievement. This is listing EVERY Spirit I know of, and I cannot say 100% if all of them are necessary or not, but this is every one I know of.

1. Spirits at the River

Level: The level just after you lose your mom in the flood and wake up alone

How to Get: The game gives you a prompt to find this one, it is where they exit the river and head up the bank

2. Into the Swan Swamp

Level: The level with all the swans and marshes

How to Get: Scent as soon as you enter the level

3. The Deer Hunt

Level: The Swan Swamps with all the nests and marshes

How to Get: Just after you exit the first area and enter the second (first area has only one swan, second area has multiple swans), keep to the right when you get past the first swan out in the lake and follow the curve of the wall to some ledges. Jump up, run to the back, and scent TWICE.

4. The Den

Level: Swan Swamps

How to Get: Just after climbing all the ledges of after the Swan Swamp, you will automatically scent while following the path / pawprints as you approach the den. They will appear and sleep alongside you

5. The Lake

Level: Just after getting the bear and using his help to get up the ledge, you wander down a winding path to the lake side.

How to Get: Scenting here shows the momma lynx and her babies crossing the lake.

6. The Ravine

Level: After waking up with the bear, you go down a winding path to the area of fog and rock towers

How to Get: Scent as you exit the path and enter the wide open area

7. The Fox

Level: Same level as the one previous, the one with all the fog and rock towers

How to Get: Follow the footprints to where they show up again, and scent once more

8. The Mammoths

Level: In the level after meeting the bear, with all the fog and rock spires

How to Get: Run all the way to the right side (if viewing from just entering the level) and scent by the mammoth tusks sticking up out of the ground

9. Ending - Choosing Mother

Level: Last level when after you choose who you want to go with, and wake up at night

How to Get: Walk up onto the ledge

I don't know if this one is required or not!

10. Ending - Choosing Bear

Level: Last level when after you choose who you want to go with, and wake up at night

How to Get: Walk up onto the ledge

@cassiaflower Don't cross the river at all. Turn left and let the bear break the bushes.

How do I choose every time I play the mother comes and get me?

So to get the achievement, I had to do two saves. You need to choose both endings, which is why you have to play twice on two different games, unfortunately. And on my second playthrough, I revisited all the spirits just in case. The achievement triggered at the end of the game. Hope that helps!

Hey, how do you get the achievement Past Whispers? I've found all the spirits and gotten both endings (through two different games) and I still didn't get the achievement (it is possible I forgot 1 or 2 of the spirits in one of the two games). Anyone know how to help?

@rafkazyrafka Keep walking along the bank in the last area instead of walking to the river. There will be a narrow space for you to walk through and find the bear's mother.
