Hello, and welcome to this guide for making Genocide easier, it will include tips on what items to buy, or what enemies to kill.

Note: YOU DON'T NEED TO NAME YOURSELF CHARA, CHARA IS NOT "THE TRUE NAME", IT'S A FIGURE.

• In the Ruins, you will start out doing the Flowey Friendliness Pellets scene as usual
  
• Once in the Ruins, you will meet toriel, you will then proceed to get the random and forced encounters. Only kill the first Froggit you see, as it's 10 EXP. Flee from everything else except loox
  
• Kill 19 Loox after doing [ACT > Pick On] 3 times per Loox.
  
• By the end of the Ruins, you should be LV 6-9, and Toriel is a 1 hit.

Once in Snowdin, you will meet Sans, and he will comment on how the player "shows no emotion" and asks them too "keep pretending to be human".
All the puzzles will be already solved.

The following characters must be killed:

• Snowdrake
  
• Lesser Dog
  
• Doggo

After that there are two ways to farm.

METHOD 1
Go to the Mysterious Room (Left of Gyftrot, who you will flee from) and kill 13 Glydes.
This will net 1300 EXP, and take about 1-2 hours.

METHOD 2
Kill the required characters, and use the following method to kill only Ice Caps and Chilldrakes.

• Hit Ice Cap to low HP
  
• ACT > Steal

Suddenly he's worth an additional 5 EXP per kill.

With Jerry, simply ditch him when the Ice Cap and Chilldrake in the battle die, this can be done by going Act > Ditch.

Try to reach the Kill limit before Doggo, as the dogs that have forced spawns will be able to provide additional EXP.

Make sure to grab the 3 snowman pieces and store them in the Box, along with the Butterscotch/Snail Pie.

When in Snowdin town, steal 8 Cinnamon Bunnies.

When in Waterfall, the EXP stuff starts getting a bit stranger...

A few items to make sure you grab:

• Ballet Shoes. These can be found South of Sans' telescope, then West to find the Ballet Shoes after you reach the lowest point in the area.
  
• 2 Sea Teas. These can be found in Gerson's store, after you climb on Monster Kid's shoulders. Store 1 in the box, and keep one in your inventory.
  
• Cloudy Glasses. These can be found in Gerson's store.
  
• Abandoned Quiche. This can be found in the second room with the floating plants, make the bridge on the bottom right to access it.

For EXP grinding:

• Flee from Moldsmall and Moldbygg.
  
• Flex at Temmie to make Aaron appear.
  
• Kill Aaron's and Woshuas.
  
• Kill Shyren and Glad Dummy or the run will be aborted

Use just the Quiche, Ballet Shoes, Cloudy Glasses, Sea tea, and 6 Cinnamon Bunnies for Undyne. There are other guides out there for killing Undyne you can find, and you'll want to save your B.Scotch Pies and Snowman Pieces for later.

Once in Hotlands, EXP doesn't matter as much, as the Royal Guards, Muffet, and Mettaton NEO are all one-hits.

Items to grab:

• Instant Noodles in Alphys' fridge (chuck in the box)
  
• At the first room with the fans, go south and find the Burnt Pan, then use that for your weapon.
  
• At the MTT Resort, purchase a Steak, and 2-3 Legendary Heroes from Burgerpants.

Your box should now contain:

• 1 Butterscotch/Snail Pie(Full HP),
  
• 3 Snowman Pieces (45-49 HP),
  
• 1 Instant Noodles (90-94 HP),
  
• 1 Face Steak (60-64 HP)
  
• 1 Sea Tea (10-14HP, speed boost when used) and 1 Leg.Hero
  OR
  
• 2 Legendary Heroes, (40-44 HP).

*Items heal an additional 4 Health when using the Burnt Pan

Once at Hotlands, clear the Warrior's path, and flip the switch at the end of that bridge. Make your way to Mettaton, but instead of fighting him, use the save point, and grind the last set of monsters on the bridge to the left of his door (the red-purple glowing symbol door).

Upon killing Mettaton, he will either point out your were "Holding back" meaning you didn't kill all 40 monsters, or you "Won't want to join his fan-club" which lets you move on to Sans.

Once at Asgore's castle, Flowey will appear in New Home, and talk about his story. He will realise in his talking mistakes that you'd kill him if need be.
You will then move on to the Final Corridor. Take all 8 healing items out of the Box, and prepare for Sans.

The burnt pan is really useful here, and all defense items are useless due to Karmic Retribution
The Real Knife doesn't mean anything as Sans is a 1-hit when you finally hit him.

Upon killing Sans, you can move on to Asgore. Save your game before Asgore's flower room, and then you have a choice.

1) Mess up your True Pacifist endings. Simply continue into Asgore's throneroom to do this.
2) Reset. Doing this will upset Flowey, but you won't suffer the Genocide Ending's consequences.
