Skills are special abilities unique to each character class. There are 2 types of skills in Khan active and passive, which you can also categorize into offensive, defensive and supportive skills.

Some skill can add more damage to your attacks, some give you more armor, others can heal, blind, weaken and cure you. This all depend on the class you choose.

To learn a skill you must acquire its book. Low level books can be bought from the NPC, while other books are rare and can only be acquired through monster drops.

Skills also has stat requirements, and you can only learn it if you've met all the requirements.

The books are color coded, each color represents a class. For example, a yellow book are skills that can be learned by the Assassin class as shown by the following screenshots.

To view the skills learned by your character you can press S on your keyboard, this will bring up the skills menu.

The skills menu consists of 3 tabs, Skill Mastery, Low Level Skills, High Level Skills.


You cannot change the mastery yourself, this automatically increases the more you use a certain type of weapon. Take for example you always use an Axe for a weapon, you're axe mastery will increase over time. The higher the mastery the more bonus damage.




This tab shows you the all the skills you've learned through book right click or through default learns. (default learns are things like 2H weapon for assassin)




This tab shows you the all the high level skills you've learned through book right click.

To use a skill, first you must choose the skill you want to use, then right click on the target.


On the screenshot below, this shows your skill bar. The first 10 slots are your skill shortcuts. The separated slot right after the last skill shortcut is your current active skill.


(on this example the skill fire bolt is on the shortcut number 1, while it is also the current active skill.)


You can use up to 10 shortcut keys which are the numbers 1 to 0 on your keyboard. To set a shortcut for a skill you can either:

• Open the skills menu and drag the skill icon into the shortcut slot on the skill bar or
  
• You can hover on a skill icon on the skills menu and choose a shortcut on the keyboard by pressing it while still hovering a skill icon.

Once set you can then use the shortcut to quickly change the current active skill. This is useful when engaged in battle so you can quickly use different skills when needed.
