The Recycling Plant is a Tier 4 item, and it's pretty fantastic.
What it does is you stick in items, wait a couple of ingame hours, and you get items back.
Using this guide, you can find what items are worth keeping (Rubber!) and what items are complete garbage. (Plastic!)

To make one, you need to have a Tier 4 Workbench, 25 Metal, 20 Pipes, 10 Valves, 10 Transistors, and 2 Circuit Boards

The Recycling Plant takes 72.5 minutes to complete for every item it gives out (1 hour, 12.5 minutes).
So for example, if you put in a First Aid Kit, you get a total of 4 items back (2 Bandages, 2 Duct Tape).
The Recycling Plant will take 290 minutes (4 hours, 50 minutes) to process a First AId Kit (4*72.5=290).

The Recycling Plant loses 1% integrity for every item it gives out.
It's going to be set on fire if it recycles out more than 100 items (after waiting for at least 5 days).

It'd be wise to have at least 3 Recycling Plants so you can constantly pump out items from them.
It's a lot better to have three jobs that take 8 hours each than to have one job that takes 24 hours to complete.

The items are listed in the order as they are in the Recycling Plant.
Some of these item placements make no sense, like the Satchel.

Tools (Hammer, Screwdriver, etc.) can't be put in the Recycling Plant.

First Aid Kit
Takes 1 Bandage, 1 Duct Tape, 1 Nylon, 1 Nail to create.
Recycles into 2 Bandages, 2 Duct Tapes

I did a big sample size (and yes I'm new, but putting time into this was fine withy me) and found that it dosen't matter if their wastefull or not. I was gonna do other traits, but I'm lazy AF. I tried it with petrol cans and hinges, and found (by reseting the family 500 times and using the same traits for a wide and similer sample size) that there is no diffrence. Each time they outputted the stuff in this guide (thanks, by the way, for teh guide),so I guess that means it doesnt matter. This took me like 1 hour XD (Send help please).
Note: I was using the makeshift recycler, but I was comparing it to the guide with math and stuffs.
