Using "Low" Quality Setting of Atom Universe to Improve Performance
By TrishaBaby and 1 collaborators
I have heard many people who have been running into issues playing the game because the PC on which they are running it is not as powerful. Consequently, the game would 'lag' more or they might not even be able to move their avatar at all. There is a way to address this by running the game at lower resolution. The performance of the game should improve and you should have less problems running the game, but the trade-off is that the graphics will be of lower quality. At least this way you can get a 'feel" for what the game is like and use basic functionality like text chat with less issues.

MrBlackwell, running in Low Quality mode isn't a universal panacea to solve all performance problems. I offered it as a suggestion to improve the performance on lower end PCs with the compromise of having lower quality graphics. Can you provide some specifics on what issues you are running into running it on your PC? What are the specs for your PC?

Yea well the trade-off for running in "low" quality mode is the graphics will be of much lower quality and I'm not surprised by the low frame rate either. It's just to help users with less powerful PCs. If you are able to play Tomb Raider and Saints Row 4 on your machine without any issues, I would think you could play AU on "High" too, but I'm not sure. I can' comment on the difference in system resource utilization of AU compared to those other 2 games, but I assumed it wouldn't be more, but it is possible.
