Guide Introduction
This guide is meant to be used as a wiki and not a step-by-step guide on how to find each diary page on a location. This is meant to be used post or near end game when you realised you have not found every page in the bestiary.

Entries in this guide are in page order of the diary. So if you found an entry missing where it should be, read the section of the missing beast for its location.

You gain elemental power as you continue to playthrough the game, don't worry about forgetting about any pages, as you can continue to search for the pages even after you beat the final boss.

Note: A lot of the grammatical errors and typos are left in intentionally.

1. Fairies
Page Location: Beginning (To the right of Violett's cage)

"These tiny buzzing pranksters do not fulfill any wishes except their own. And they cause allergies! The symptoms are rather interesting though. Once exposed to the fairy dust, one starts to gain magical skills.

The truth is that these skills are very uneven and overdosing is very dangerous. Every Traveler should be keeping contact with fairies to a minimum."
2. Pinchers
Page Location: Mine (Bottom left corner of the map)

"In reality every other one is technically, lichen! Thanks to my research I found out about their origins. In the beginning Pinchers were a ruthless predator. Sly lichen evolved to look just like the predator, causing their natural enemies to leave them alone.

But there's more! Its camouflage was so perfect that the predators saw their real selves in it. Inspired by their peaceful brothers, they themselves calmed down and now live in peaceful colonies, swaying delicately. Each Pincher has its own comfy lichen that doubles as a sofa. A perfect symbiosis."
3. Her Spiderness
Page Location: Labyrinth (On the railings in the right of the map, before entering the Kitchen)

"Damned are the lands wreathed in her web. Many times I've seen how the webs tangle every living being until the last sign of resistance disappears. Her Spiderness, who since recently seemed to deny this, began some weird experiments. Even without this everyone fears her.

Even the low life beetles do not dare to say her name, fearing that they will end as exhibits in her collection. I think that I caught her attention, every now and then the ugly Speyeders seem to look at me closely. What a shame! There is so much more to explore!"
4. Bookworm
Page Location: Library (Upper section, revealed after flipping the bottom left weather book)

"I've never imagined meeting a fan of books that can throw a javelin for 121 meters, or hunt down wildlife in the woodsfor a week. Nevertheless, I managed to! Bookworm is extraordinary specie endowed not only intellectually but also physically. Some of the most accomplished sages are Bookworms.

Even the youngest ones indulge intoa reading addiction. Adult moths are very caring parents and family values are most important in their society."
5. Marmoles
Page Location: Construction Site (On the floor near the Termite Mound entrance)

"Traveling through the land I've more tha once had an opportunity to marvel at beautiful buildings. Their functions evaded my non-local mind. I wondered, whodesigned them, who built them? Some other detail sparked my curiosity. Most of them looked very old and neglected, there were hardly any new looking ones.

My recent meeting with Marmoles shed some light on their origins. They supposedly belong to once mighty, but now lazy tribe. They all only think about them selves and none is willing to work. Once remarked, some of them hide beneath the ground and the more lazy ones just make a long whistle."
6. Swans
Page Location: Chimneys (Beyond the wall of fire, requires water / shield power)

"That's not true that swans are mute. More than once I had an impression that they wanted to say something but they never did. I was wondering... why?

Mr Caterpillar explained it to me. Once upon a time, just before their departure from this world, dragons, whom lived in the sky, confided a prophecy to swans. And until it's time to share it, they are bound by their vows of silence. That's why they are so nervous, angry and everyone thinks they are devilish. It is speculated that dragons fabricated the prophecy just to keep the swans from constant gossiping."
7. Weevil
Page Location: Tree House (Right tree on the lowest ledge, blocked by the hints icon)

"Every time we met, he was bigger and more dangerous, finally he transformed from a kind beetle into a ruthless tyrant and a false prophet. I tremble in fear when I realize what will happen when his sick ideology spreads around the whole country.

Despite all his power I am pretty certain that he is just a pawn in the hands of Her Spiderness. I pray that he gets what he deserves.

The Professor always said that every ecosystem needs a shady guy, but this one goes away too far..."
8. Cockroaches
Page Location: Tree House (Middle floor)

"As they say, clothes do not make a cockroach... Veevil's bouncers live up to this saying. Stylish tuxedos sen by the Queen's personal tailor do not make them even slightly gentler.

Mindless boors and savages. Their dull minds lack any signs of intelligence. What they don't have in minds they make up with their bodies. They are very strong and not smart enough to plot treason. And they are extremely resilient. I once run into one of them in the middle of Obig desert. He did not eat or drink in over a year! I managed to run from him so I guess he broke even this record."
9. Termites
Page Location: Termite Mound (Ground floor, requires earth power)

"Saying that they love to dig in the ground would be an understatement! This village is special though because Termites seem to move their crop outside. That's a smart move on their side; the air is cleaner and there is more space in the mound.

Even the bright sun that shines in this place seems not to worry them too much, for they are almost blind. On the other hand their smell is extraordinary. This is their queen's secret. She uses exquisite perfume to keep the termites under her reign."
10. Haunted Kettle
Page Location: Dining Room (Left side of the map, under some planks on the floor)

"There is nothing more malicious than a haunted kettle. Time and again I tried taming it but to no avail.

It's constantly belching steam and splashing tea everywhere. Sometimes it even scatters leaves out of spite. It's no wonder why the giants threw them out of the sky one day and chose to brew their tea in pots."
11. Gnomes
Page Location: Volcano (Behind wall of fire, requires water / shield power)

"Blessed are the ignorant for they think that gnomes are just a garden decoration.

In fact they are statues of an ancient Gods of Darkness, transfered from other dimension, closer to people who worship them.

Of course it's just nonsense told by one of the natives, but it was so exuberant, that from time to time I have a feeling that they move. And watch..."
12. Frogs
Page Location: Island (Left of the island switch, requires air / flight power)

"A travelling wizard, whose long name has lost been forgotten, convinced the frogs that catching flies and mosquitoes is below them, and that they instead should pursue art. He suggested opera, and the frogs had a lengthy laugh. Of course it was a hoax to use the frogs in his own shady plan.

You see, he was trying to build a device to control the weather, and frog spawn has this amazing property - they can control clouds. Anyway, he never got to use his invention - the flies and mosquitoes, not being bothered by the frogs anymore, reproduced and ate the wizard. The frogs to this day engage in opera, and some even became cyclist. A really weird species. The weather is terrible in these parts of the land. It's always raining and mosquitoes bite mercilessly. I advise you to stay away from there."
13. Mouse
Page Location: Airplane (Left of airplane, requires air / flight power)

"A mouse is an ambitious and fearless animal. The ones that I meet here have different temper.

They lack the wings that our mice have instead of using aero planes to reach the far lands. Unfortunately spending half their lives among the clouds makes them think that they are the wisest creatures alive. Talking to them can be really bothersome. As a matter of fact they hardly know anything and they accept beads as payment of travel."
14. Snails
Page Location: Snail Lake (Left side of the map, on the brick bridge)

"This primal tribe, inspired by the Bearder Turtle, decided to counterattack instead of being eaten, they chose to eat. They treat their recipes with extreme seriousness, bet despite their best efforts their "predator side" has not awaken. Afterall they prefer an excuisite cusine.

That doen not of course matter that they forfeited their dreams. They raised a massive snail, that once fully grown will strike back, carrying the whole tribe on its back. Unfoirtunatelly massive snails needs massive amount of food, and they have a hard time satisfying the giants hunger. And they yet to learn the recipe for turtle soup!"
15. Bearded Turtle
Page Location: Cave (Left side of the Upper area, requires air / flight power)

"This old wanderer stopped here for a while and for the last 328 years he is arguing with the snails! They easily found common tongue, especially the pace of the conversation.

He knows that the snails dream of making a turtle soup, but chooses to ignore it, saying that this whim shall pass in a century or two. He's the one who inspired the snails to become chiefs, and revealed many of his secret recipes. Despite their pleads he does not intend to share how to make a turtle soup."
16. Crystal Knotter
Page Location: Mine (Right side of the map, requires earth power)

"On my first trip to the Giant Caves, I was expecting no more than mold, spiders and darkness. And yet I met Crystal Knotters - rare snakes with stunning eloquence and style!

I was lucky enough to see their unique mating rituals: A male, with accompanied by romantic sonatas, endows the female with salt crystals. After that they tangle themselves into a knot that even an experienced sailor could not untangle. They truly are the lovebirds of the reptile world!"
17. Jawesome Beaver
Page Location: Bathroom (Right side of the map, on the ladders)

"This beaver subspecies is closely related to ice sharks. And he is particularly fond of bathrooms. It's an uneartly paradox because he is afraid of soap. Yes, yes! I could not believe it myself. His jaws hop out to bite harder, he can easily chew steel, and he is afraid of harmless soap. There's a possible explanation.

His messy fur full of tangles and dirt is a symbol of status. And they are afraid to lose it."

18. Cuckoo
Page Location: Tree Clock (Left side of the map, requires earth power)

"A very uncommon species, always troubled with finding suitable hatching grounds. Cuckoos only live in clocks, and these modern miniature ones simply don't provide enough space for their needs.

Anyway, cuckoos have a peculiar cycle of metamorphosis - when they grow up, they seem to completely loose touch with the world, absorbed with passing time and hours. The yougnlings, on the other hand, are very wise and social. Some say that adult cuckoos just got tired with mundane problems and clichés, simply choosing not to give a cuck."
19. Grasshopper
Page Location: Garden (Middle of the left area, requires air / flight power)

"There are lengths that even the most skilled jumper cannot jump. Grasshoppers know about it and they made jumping their specialty. These who live in marshy parts of the world become sailors. Every grasshopper owns a boat, spending days after days shining and polishing it.

What more they are very territorial, they protect their own areas and they don't care who they carry as long as they get paid."
20. Caterpillars
Page Location: Kitchen (Under a teacup on the window, complete the puzzle to gain access)

"This tribe is the only one which gets to know the secret of metamorphosis. You have to be lucky to find these mystique creatures able to talk and fullyconscious. They either sleep in the cocoon or enjoy themselves nightly as moths.

Each pair of their hands symbolizes onemetamorphosis, and they say that the longest caterpillars are as longas the equator! Amount of hands is very important in caterpillarsociety. They choose their hierarchy by arm wrestling, and those with many hands have a crushing advantage."
