It's very simple! 1 ingame year will take 5 ingame days! so if you have a prisoner scented for 20 years, he/she will stay in your prison for 100 days. (quite a lot)

Well, it's an outdated guide then, or time is different for seasons. This guide is/was about the sentences of prisoners, and back when I played, 5 days would be equal to 1 year

thats totally not true. One year in game is 30 days. Turn on weather and youll see it snows once a month

Quick way to calculate is to multiply years by ten and divide that by two.
