European Main Station

描述
History
Opened on 23th of April in 1898, Dresden Main Station is located in the district of Südvorstadt in Dresden, Germany. The station is uniquely designed with a central terminal and a station hall in between two mainline platforms that are raised above street level. Today the station is one of Dresdens most important transportation hubs, and is considered one of the city's great historical landmarks.

Information
  • Train tracks/stops: 8 elevated (4 per side hall) through the station; 8 on the ground (central hall) ending in the station
  • Metro tracks/stops: 4 parallel to the street; 2 along the central hall/main building
  • Building Entrances: 1 at the front, 2 on each side
  • Plot size: 20 * 32 cells
  • Construction costs: 500.000
  • Maintenance costs: 4.000
  • Required mod: Extra Train Station Tracks (must always be activated, otherwise the savegame will break)
  • Triangles (all 6 sub-buildings): 23612, manually created LoD: 2852
  • Texture Maps: diffuse, specular, alpha, illumination, normal, each of them 2048 * 1024; auto-generated LoD textures

Useful Information/Known Issues
  • Due the long side halls, their ends have normal elevated train tracks. Those might move if your underground is not perfectly flat. I recommend to either get a flat space for this train station, or use any terraforming tool of your choice to make the ground flat. (Extra Landscaping Tools)
  • The game randomly assigns outside connections to one of the station tracks. This cannot be changed directly. Instead you have to replace/relocate the station until the random assignment selects a track you want outside connections to stop at.
  • Optional you can use Multi-Track Station Enabler for more precise placing of single stops.

Okey dokey, here are instructions on how to get this station's upper tracks working:

1. Create another station along those upper platform's lines. This can be temporary or permanent depending upon what you chose in Step 4.
2. Create a line that runs through the upper platform. Complete the line.
3. Then drag the line on the upper platform to create a mid point.
4. Optional: If you want this to be an end point for the line, build a temporary station, then delete the stop at that station and the upper platform's stop reverts to an end point.

Bloody Penguin seems to be back and ETST is updated. However, intercity trains will still only arrive at the first platform, but train lines work on every platform. Unfortunately the underground won't connect to any metro stration.

I have been able to utilize the raised tracks if I make them a mid-point when creating a train route. They will not register as a starting point, but if a train route passes through one of the tracks, I am able to place a stop there and it will function.
