Armor Pierce for Sword And Sniper Rifle

Beskrivelse
Armor Pierce for Sniper Rifle And Sword

Adds a small amount of armor piercing to sniper rifles and swords, with higher tier weapons having more.

Sword: +0/+1/+2 armor pierce
Sniper: +1/+2/+3 armor pierce

Note that this is ~not~ the same as shredding armor, which removes armor from the target. Armor pierce simply negates that amount of damage reduction for that shot only.

This was originally designed to add +5 Aim to both weapons but that was separated out to avoid conflicts with other mods. You can get it here if you want: http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=619336586

NOTE: There is a minor visual bug built into the game, when pierce is greater than zero but less than the armor. It displays "X Armor" on hit, where X is their full armor. However damage calculations still work fine. See the attached screenshots to see it in action.

I think you should reverse the armour piercing values for the weapons. Kinetic weapons like conventional and magnetic would be the ones tearing through armour. Lasers beams create damage via heat, which could cause tremendous exterior damage, but would not penetrate layered surfaces.

Compatible? Yes? No?

Unfortunately, i'm one of those (many) people with many mods, so isolating problems is... problematic. Instead, some of us choose to not risk potentially problematic mods all together. Unfortunately, your mod is great and there are no alternatives.

Anyone can confirm?

Is this mod compatible with WotC?

I'm wondering - why does your mod contain like every class file in src folder. Is that necessary?

So i have this mod but i decided i wanted to adjust my own armor piercing onDefaultGameData_WeaponData. I changed the piercing of swords to 1,3,5. So, Since you didn't change the INI file, which i'm not sure why. Would the pierce add up? Or does your config overides DefaultGameData.Ini? Sorry for the complicated question, i would remove the mod, but the missing content..

Ahh, for some reason my game isn't piercing!? :(

It was working earlier.. I've got a bunch of different mods running, but none 'should' be effecting the sniper rifle information! :(

Any ideas?

@silvaril Yea no... I think you fail to understand that armour is allways ignored by ap rounds (easy to test with pistols) as Jynnent_ONyx said it is a ui bug and does not reflect the true properties of ap rounds.

Heya

Your example screenshots above show a 2 AP weapon hitting for 10 damage rolled against 4 armor equals 8 damage applied.

If it was using the vanilla AP Rounds variant, it would be 10 damage rolled against 4 armor equals 6 damage applied, as 2 AP is incapable of piercing 4 armor.

In my vanilla (unmodded) game, the GateKeeper with 6 armor was always a priority for armor shredding so that my AP Rounds would work effectively instead of having the full armor value bounce them.
