Blobnet
If you are reading this, then you are absolutely desperate in completing this seemingly impossible level at such an early part of the game (and I don't blame you!) While some have actually completed it after countless attempts, many have just flat out given up and either stopped playing or skipped the level entirely. However, I can put all your stresses to rest as I have found a very simple (yet cheap) way of getting through the level with a little trick known as "pause buffering". Basically, by pressing the F5 key continuously, you can pause the game to gradually slow down the movement of the blobs making you more receptive of their movements and giving you better timing in when to go for the chips. It's that simple! Now get out there and earn yourself an achievement!

Got the achievement, sans 'Pause-Buffering'.
END TIME: 147 (500 - 353)
I can do better, and I still have to "1st-Try" it, next.
Prerequisites:
Patience and Balls/Nerves of Steel.

BASICS/ABSTRACT:
U|R HERE (Starting Point 2nd # (12-O'Clock))
_v
### #2-- Clear #2 first (Train Your Nerves Here)
#E# [#]-- Clear perimeter second (Train Patience here)
### [E]-- Clear Inner ring last (Join 3x3s and secure exit.
It's only 8 Blobs inside #5, and a mess of 8 blobs/# around #5's perimeter.)

DETAILS:
#2 - Start by clearing out that cell entirely, cleaning it out in clockwise manner:
Starting from 12 O'Clock-(Start moving into the right column):
IN-1, OUT-2, (UR-Done)
IN-4, OUT-5, (BR-Done)
IN-7, OUT-8, (BL-Done)
IN-10, OUT-11 (UL-Done; back to Start [12]/Perimeter)
Move in one continuous flow (Best done in 7 seconds for optimal results; You WILL dodge them all, with a clean pass through the gravel, each trip).

Note: Regarding Randomness & Blobs:
Blobs aren't nearly as "Random" as they come off, I've noticed it in all my runs doing that particular run every time; and it still sticks. Or at least, the randomness seed (RNG-seed) my computer generated, this is the case. So 7 seconds on #2 is certainly possible. Train your nerves/ballsiness here. You'll need it, for the rest of the level/Game. As your prediction skills improve, so does your timing and confidence in beating otherwise challenging levels/puzzles. Especially where active threats (Critters) are concerned.

[#] - After you get a feel for blob "randomness" predictability by getting plenty of practice (loops) off of #2. As well as patience and a "Let's get it over with, already!" mindset for suicidal bravery; Go ahead and work on the outer perimeter and/or the remaining #s. I generally recommend concentrating one # at a time (Outer-to-Inner), and
TAKE. YOUR. TIME.
Speedruns and Flawless "1st Time"ers can come later.

Your patience meets the most of it's training here. You will fail plenty of times; but again, once you get a feel for the "Randomness" of the blobs, you'll eventually "Use The Force" and start navigating the mess of blobs like it's second-nature to you, and it's just plain taking your time, from there. Heck, you might even brave it one attempt or another, and just weave through #s, while "Using The Force" to navigate them opportunistically, and finding your path to record-times.

[E] - If the center-most ones are all that remain, it's only 8 blobs guarding 8 chips & Exit. Don't get greedy, take your time with these guys, and wrap it up.

CONGRATS! You win!
Enjoy your (legitimately earned) achievement. Here's to hoping we all got the same RNG-seed I did, for this to especially work; otherwise, somewhat disregard my post if your RNG really doesn't agree with this post. Good luck!

I used the original graphics rather than the updated one (because I'm an old sucker for the nostalgia feel). I simply took my time and managed to complete the stage with a little over 300 left in the time. I appreciate you taking the time to figure something out and making this little guide :)

Slimes move randomly. They can make any move to an open tile at any time, without any predictability. That's the key. They MUST move, and if there is nowhere to go but away from the Chip, they MUST do it. For that reason, you need to always make sure to grab the Chip ONLY when the Slime DOES NOT BORDER IT.

Furthermore, you should open the level by zipping around the very outermost edge of the perimeter. Those leave open tiles to distract Slimes.

Furthermore, I have learned through trial and error that collecting Chips that separate Slimes from each other sometimes causes them to congregate. This vacates the area and lessens the need to look for more than one Slime. By the end, the Slimes are everywhere and catching the Chips becomes easier.

I had three chips left to get... Been sprinting left-right/top bottom on the panels. By freeing up linkroads between groups and panels, you give the blobs more room to move, then you can patiently clean up the few you have left at the end. I just need to master that 'patience' part and stop going for the chips when there's a blob next to them...

I've found that if you wait until the blobs are both touching the chip on either side, they *must* move away from the chip on the next step, giving you time to run in and grab it.

Otherwise, make sure each blob is either touching the chip, or 2 spaces away, so that the next step, neither blob will be able to reach the chip, and you have time to grab it.

This level really just tests your patience, and punishes rushing or getting in a hurry.

Yeah, a player can do that, but it's not really necessary..

If a player is just patient and only crosses @ the single square bridges, it's not too crazily difficult.. Not at all.

Ok, Here's what I found to be the secret: Just wait for the blobs to move way from, or Be Moving away from where you are crossing. Not too hard. Just takes a little bit of patience and a few tries.

Thanks for the Guide! :2017stickydrink: We need more in Chip's! :CC1FireBall::CC1FireBall::CC1FireBall:
