AKA The Part Nobody Reads

I put this guide together as a service for players who might be interested in these codes. Before you start reading, I'd like to let you know a few things:

1. I am providing this list to benefit to the community, but I can't guarantee I can keep it 100% up-to-date all the time. I do keep an eye on the The Witness subreddit so if I see anything I will be sure to include it. I'll try to read any comments on this guide as well and incorporate suggested additions or corrections, giving credit to contributors as appropriate.

2. Though this guide is spoiler free, things you can do with these keys will NOT be spoiler free. It is very easy to see and access end-game content using the noclip code, for instance. I recommend only messing with this stuff once you have explored ALL of the island. Did you figure out how to get on the other side of the doors in the underground areas of the desert and theatre? No? You're not done yet, and you'll probably spoil yourself if you start noclipping around. You have been warned.

3. The icon for this guide is taken from Google's Material Design icons ( http://design.google.com/icons/ ) and is licensed under CC-BY 4.0 ( https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ ).

4. I have only tested the key combos on a QWERTY keyboard. I do not know if the key combos change on other keyboards or not.
Framerate Display
Press ] during the game to toggle display of some framerate stats in the upper right corner.

Current frame render time and average frame render time are displayed, followed by average / min / max framerate. The average/min/max figures seem to be over a very short period of time.

The GPU line likely indicates the amount of rendering that was done on the GPU.

The color of the text will be white, sometimes flickering red or blue, especially when you are moving. I assume white means the framerate is OK and red means bad (though in my case I did not notice framerate drops). I do not know what blue means, possibly the framerate is "too fast" by some metric.
Developer Toggle
Press Shift+. (period) to toggle developer mode on or off. No indication is given on screen when this key combination is pressed; you can only determine based on whether developer keys work or not.

When enabled, keys in the following sections will function, otherwise they do nothing.

Thanks to /u/namrog84 on reddit for figuring out this was required for the noclip key combo to work.
Noclip [Patched Out]
UPDATE: This hotkey appears to have been patched out. One of my theories was it had been left in by accident by the devs while fixing other bugs; this appears to have been the case. :(

The Developer Toggle must be on, or this key combination will have no effect. Credit goes to /u/Pant0don on reddit for stumbling across this.

First, turn Caps Lock on. Simply holding Shift will not work. While Caps Lock is on, press M. This will put you in no clip mode. Use the mouse to look around as normal and use the arrow keys or WASD to fly around. Use Space to ascend.

To exit noclip mode, press M again or simply left click. What happens here depends on where you are looking. If you are looking at a piece of ground you could normally stand on in the game, you will be teleported there and noclip will end. If you are looking at something you cannot stand on, the game tries to find ground directly beneath your current position to stick you to. If there is none, it will look above you. I am not sure exactly what happens if that fails, I think it just finds a nearby piece of land to stick you on.

Now feel free to explore, though as I said in my Foreward you will find plenty of spoilery things so it's best to be sure you've explored the game through normal means thoroughly first... the underground desert area and theatre doors locked from the other side should be opened before you consider this.

Here's some ideas for exploration. Did you know that the starting tunnel is physically impossible? Try noclipping into the tunnel from somewhere outside of the starting area, and try noclipping out of the tunnel when you're in it.

Got the secret ending? Look out the windows along the way and notice the impossible transitions? Well now you can figure out what's going on behind the scenes.

If you get hit by that boat glitch that sticks you on the bottom of the ocean, this code can help you fix yourself (I suspect this is the reason this code was left in the game; developers usually strip these things out, and since there is only the one code this makes me suspect there were more that WERE stripped out).

Want to figure out if there's anything secret left undiscovered? Maybe you will. However there is a lot more to a game than geometry. After all, you can't find the secret ending just by noclipping. Who's to say any undiscovered secrets will be different? But I guess you won't know until you try.

I believe the noclip feature was patched in the latest update.

Hmm I have a stuck save, but I can't use noclip to get unstuck. I just get reset to where I am stuck once I leave noclip
