You do not lose the money, i haven't either, i still have a ton of modders in my friends list who still plays GTA 5 ONLINE to this day, so to your assumptions about modders being banned in general is completely false, not a lot of "Hackers" or "Modders" have been banned, even the good ones are still safe, same goes with the bad ones, normally if you find any of those bad modders that their only purpose is to ruin your GTA experience online, then you just leave & find another session, i don't really care much about them as they actually helped me out with a lot, heists are a pain at times to play & loadings can be annoying specially when they tend to get stuck at a certain point of ending heists too.
