How to use SweetFX with Outcast 1.1

Download Sweetfx ReShade (http://reshade.me/sweetfx)

Navigate to the .zip file and extract the entire contents to a new folder

Step 3

Right click on "ReShade Setup.exe" and click "Run As Administrator"

Step 4

Click "Select Game" and navigate to your Outcast 1.1 directory and select OC1.1.exe

Step 5

Select "Direct3D 9"

Step 6

All done! Now you can edit whatever SweetFX settings are your preference.

Hint: Settings are stored in "steamapps\common\Outcast 1.1\SweetFX"

I have created a basic preset for Outcast 1.1.

Step 1

Open a browser and navigate to https://sfx.thelazy.net/games/

Step 2

Download the Outcast 1.1 preset, EssenceFX.

Hint: EssenceFX is recommended by this guide but you can use whichever you like.

Step 3

Rename SweetFX_Settings_Outcast 1.1_EssenceFX to SweetFX_Settings

Step 4

Place the settings file into "steamapps\common\Outcast 1.1\SweetFX"
