Introduction
Welcome to the achievement guide for Beware Planet Earth!

Overview

The purpose of this guide is to give a clear and concise overview of the requirements for earning all 33 achievements in the game and reaching that perfect 100% completion.

Originally a straightforward iOS tower defense game, Beware Planet Earth is not too difficult, although a few challenge levels can be quite frustrating to complete. It should take anywhere between 15-25 hours on average to complete the game 100%.

When first starting the game, you're prompted to turn on Veteran Mode. Do this. You need to complete each level (74 in total) in Veteran difficulty to get all the achievements anyway.

Gameplay

As mentioned before, Beware Planet Earth is a simple tower defense game. You can only place towers on certain tiles and you can’t maze the enemies. Placing towers is instantaneous, but each tower has a cooldown before you can build another. You get resources (cogs) from Cog Factories that generate cogs over time for you to manually pick up (like Sunflowers from Plants vs Zombies). The enemies must kidnap your cows from the pasture and take them back to the spawn point (crop circle) in order to capture them.

For a great video guide for each level,
I recommend this playlist on YouTube:

The story mode is divided into four seasons, each with ten levels and a few challenge missions. Note that level select is not unlocked by default. You must complete the entire story mode to replay previous levels. There are also Halloween and Valve-themed bonus levels, as well as challenge levels (unlocked by completing the corresponding missions in story mode).

With all that out of the way, let's begin!
Story Mode

Spring Break
Survive spring!

Flawless Spring
Save all the cows on every story level of spring.

Earned by completing the spring levels (1-10) of the story mode, as well as the 'Weird Science' bonus challenge level, without letting any cows be captured.

Sunset Rider
Survive summer!

Perfect Summer
Save all the cows on every story level of summer.

Earned by completing the summer levels (11-20) of the story mode, as well as the 'Hard Rock from the Red Planet' bonus challenge level, without letting any cows be captured.

Winter Is Coming
Survive fall!

Impeccable Fall
Save all the cows on every story level of fall.

Earned by completing the fall levels (21-30) of the story mode, as well as the 'Zombies of Mars' and 'Maid Raid' bonus challenge levels, without letting any cows be captured.

Like a Boss!
Repel the Martian threat for good!

Spotless Winter
Save all the cows on every story level of winter.

Earned by completing the winter levels (31-40) of the story mode, as well as the 'Ninjas in the Snow' and 'Back to Basics' bonus challenge levels, without letting any cows be captured.

Save ALL the Cows!!
Save all the cows on every level of the story mode.

"Beware Planet Earth!" Turbo Prime EX Plus Alpha
Save all the cows on every level of the story mode in Veteran difficulty.

Earned by completing all 40 story levels and the 6 bonus challenge levels without letting any cows be captured. You must complete all 46 levels on Veteran difficulty for the second achievement (make sure the box is ticked in the options menu).
Challenges
Bonus Levels

The bonus levels are available from the main menu and can be played at any time. You are given a fixed loadout of towers and a set amount of cogs, as well as new themed enemies and levels. Otherwise similar to regular story levels, but shorter (3-5 minutes each).

Trick or Treat!
Survive all five 'This is Halloween!' bonus levels!

Smashing Pumpkins!
Save all the cows on all the 'This is Halloween!' bonus levels.

Who You Gonna Call?
Save all the cows on all the 'This is Halloween!' bonus levels in Veteran difficulty.

Earned by completing all five Halloween-themed bonus levels without letting any cows be captured.

Ain't That a Cute Little Gun?
Survive all five 'Meet the Martians' bonus levels!

For Science... You Monster.
Save all the cows on all the 'Meet the Martians' bonus levels.

Martians Can't Count to Three.
Save all the cows on all the 'Meet the Martians' bonus levels in Veteran difficulty.

Earned by completing all five Valve-themed bonus levels without letting any cows be captured.

Challenge Levels

Each challenge category is unlocked by beating the corresponding level in story mode. Like the bonus levels, you are given a fixed loadout and a set amount of cogs. Some of these challenges can be very difficult, as they require far more micromanagement and planning than regular story levels. These levels take about 4-5 minutes each on average.

The Shield is Down!
Save all the cows throughout the whole 'Weird Science' Challenge category.

Earned by completing the normal, hard and insane versions of this challenge category. The premise is the same as the 'Weird Science' level in the story mode. You can only use Kegs, Landmines and Bombs to defeat the Martian Troopers and Mad Scientists. One of the easier challenges. Just make sure your Zapper doesn't overheat and keep pinging the shields off the enemies.

Party time! Excellent!
Save all the cows throughout the whole 'Hard Rock from the Red Planet' Challenge category.

Earned by completing the normal, hard and insane versions of this challenge category. The premise is the same as the 'Hard Rock from the Red Planet' level in the story mode. You can only use Barbecues, Fire Stations, Bombs and Acid Traps to defeat the Martian Metalheads and Roadies. Not a particularly difficult challenge. The most important thing is killing the Metalheads before they use their buff, or killing all the Roadies near them before they use it.

They're Coming to Get You, Barbra!
Save all the cows throughout the whole 'Zombies of Mars' Challenge category.

Earned by completing the normal, hard and insane versions of this challenge category. The premise is the same as the 'Zombies of Mars' level in the story mode. You can only use Barbecues, Fire Stations and Bombs with only slow-moving Zombie Martians as enemies. Probably the easiest set of challenges. Try to take out the headstones as quickly as possible before they spawn too many skeletons.

I MAID A GAM3 W1TH M4RT1ANS!!!1
Save all the cows throughout the whole 'Maid Raid' Challenge category.

Earned by completing the normal, hard and insane versions of this challenge category. The premise is the same as the 'Maid Raid' level in the story mode. You can only use Landmines, Bombs, Acid Traps and Explosive Barrels to defeat the Martian Troopers and Maids. For me, this was the hardest challenge category because you have to manage your cooldowns and timings pretty accurately and the Maids can easily vacuum your defenses if you misplace them.

Teenage Martian Ninja Troopers
Save all the cows throughout the whole 'Ninjas in the Snow' Challenge category.

Earned by completing the normal, hard and insane versions of this challenge category. The premise is the same as the 'Ninjas in the Snow' level in the story mode. You can only use Freezers, Bombs and Helicowpters to defeat the Martian Ninjas. The strategy itself isn't too difficult, just manage your Zapper use, don't forget to place towers and use Bombs on the White Ninjas. The final (insane) challenge is horrible though. I spent nearly 2 hours on this particular four-minute challenge due to the skill and luck required to pull it off. YMMV.

The Old School Republic
Save all the cows throughout the whole 'Back to Basics' Challenge category.

Earned by completing the normal, hard and insane versions of this challenge category. The premise is the same as the 'Back to Basics' level in the story mode. You can use virtually all towers to defeat a wide mix of enemies. Since you can't use the Zapper, the entire strategy boils down to tower selection and placement. Definitely a nice change of pace from the micro-intensive Ninja category.

Challenge Accepted!
Save all the cows throughout all the Challenges.

Challenge Accepted... and Defeated!
Save all the cows throughout all the Challenges in Veteran difficulty.

Earned by completing all 18 challenge levels without letting any cow be captured. As with story mode, make sure the Veteran Mode box is ticked in the options menu.
Other
NOTE: These achievements are listed in the order they can be earned in-game.

Welcowme on Board!
Launch the game for the first time!

Exactly what it says on the tin. Quite possibly the easiest achievement in any game ever.

The Man with the Martian Gun
Get the Zapper.

Story-related. You get the Zapper at the beginning of level 6 (Spring, invasion 6).

When You Have to Shoot, Shoot! Don't Talk!
Use the Zapper to finish a Martian.

Self-explanatory. Shoot and kill any enemy with the Zapper. The weapon can overheat if you use it too much, so try to shoot enemies who are already close to dying.

Bomberman!
Blast at least 8 Martians with one bomb!

The Bomb is unlocked at the start of level 9 (Spring, invasion 9). The easiest place to get this achievement is during the Zombies of Mars challenge levels, because killed zombies spawn lots of skeletons for easy fodder. Alternatively, you may get this achievement randomly at some point during the game without even trying.

The Butterfly Effect
Successfully start a chain reaction using 4 or more Explosive Barrels!

The Explosive Barrel is unlocked at the start of level 23 (Fall, invasion 1). The easiest place to get this achievement is during the Maid Raid challenge levels, because you start with a ton of cogs and the Explosive Barrels are already present in your loadout. Just place four barrels next to each other and shoot one with your Zapper. Done.

GLaDOS Is Not Gonna Be Glad!
Witness or cause the collapse of a quantum wormhole.

The Quantum Leapers start appearing from level 29 (Fall, invasion 6) onwards. They can create portals that act as shortcuts for enemies, so it’s in your best interest to shut them down as quickly as possible. Do this by shooting at the portal with your Zapper. The portals eventually close on their own after a while.

The Cow Is a Lie
Behold a cow going through a quantum wormhole!

To earn this achievement, an enemy must first grab a cow, go through a portal, get killed and drop the cow, who then walks back through the wormhole on his own. This should happen at some point during the game without you even noticing. If you want to create suitable conditions, level 29 (Fall, invasion 6) is probably the best, because the Leaper appears quite early.

Good Cogs Never Rust
Defeat a winter story level without letting one cog disappear.

Earned by completing any story level on winter (31-40) without any of your cogs disappearing. Just make sure you pick up all the cogs made by your Cog Factories. Not too difficult. Note that having cogs sucked up by Martian Maids doesn't count as them disappearing, so don't worry about that.

Chekhov's Raygun
Someone's gotta fire it before the end.

Earned in the last story level (Winter, invasion 10). You are forced to play the entire level without your Zapper, but you'll receive an overpowered raygun near the end of the level (right before the boss) that doesn't overheat and can basically one-shot enemies.
Conclusion
That's it. I hope this guide has been useful.

Thanks for reading.

Good luck and have fun playing!
