First you need to make a logo folder so you can find your spray.

This PC > C > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Left 4 Dead 2 > left2dead2> materials > vgui>

Right click and got to New and go over to Folder
Then you need to name it logos Then, go into the logo folder and add another folder and name it custom



(Also, Your left 4 dead 2 may be located in Program Files instead of Program Files (x86) )

I'm going to use this transparent spray I just made for this guide. (Only because I couldn't think of something creative to use).
But for you, you need to find the picture, your custom spray you made, transparent picture, or gif.

• If you make a animated picture make sure it's a .gif file or it will NOT animate.
  
• If you make a transparent or save a transparent picture make sure it's .png file or it will NOT be transparent..

I usually make my sprays 600 x 600, but some other size may work of course. If not just keep resizing it until it works.

Once you find your picture/spray save it somewhere you can locate it.
(NOT in the logos folder we just made!)


I located mine on my desktop.

So now you've made a logo folder and selected your spray. Now time to convert it so it will work in Left 4 Dead 2.

Download this and save file. Then install SprayGen
Once you install, open Spraygen.

You should see something like this...


Click L4D2 (Make sure savefile is check)
Select width and height (Sometimes when you import the picture it automatically does it itself, but since I make my sprays 600x600 I select 512x512)


Now important your picture/spray if you haven't already (mine is on my desktop)




When you locate your spray select it and click Open It should look something like this...



NOTE: If it's a transparent/.PNG file make sure you select transparent background before selecting the convert button.

Once you are done make sure you click Convert to VTF

After that it should show you where it's located. Mine was located to the custom folder.

You can close it out once you relocated your spray. After you do that, load up Left 4 Dead 2.

Go to Options > Multiplayer
It suppose to automatically select for you, if not then do it yourself.

If it does not show then. You must located the files and just copy and paste them in the logo folder instead of the custom folder.

Once you relocate them from custom folder to the logo folder, restart left 4 dead 2.
Open left 4 dead 2

Option > Multiplayer > Import Spray...

Then, you go to the logo folder (NOT THE CUSTOM FOLDER)

This PC > C > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Left 4 Dead 2 > left2dead2> materials > vgui> logos

YAY! It work!
