Beginners Guide and Tips for Crashlands
By Colbat
Hello Strangers and Stranded,
This Guide is designed to be a Compendium of Information for all those (like me) who have no Knowledge whatsoever of the Crashlands surrounding us. If you know Information i have yet to include, or read a mistake, tell me, i will update it as i play and get Feedback.

Well so much for the Prolog, let's get this Thing started shall we?

Starting off
First and foremost, a phew Tips which you should always consider when going through the Crashlands:

-> Always have a Healing Item in your Quickbar
Well, the Reasons should be apparent^^
But to be clear, 50% of your Life with 1 Item should be always available, you will thank me later.

-> Pick up the Dirt!
In every Part of the Crashlands are different Kinds of Dirt, all with the same Texture but different coloring. PICK IT UP. It's one of the most valuable Ressources (in my Opinion) because it is the Basic for Gardening.

-> Explore the immediate Surrounding of your Start (in every new Region)
There are Things to find, always not too far from your Starting Point. Circling around your Crash-Site and Starting Point until you find them is quite valuable for the Start.

-> Farm it when you have it!
At some Point, you will get new or better Tools, enabling you to break and loot new Stuff. BUT while doing so, you will only have the Chance for new Blueprints IF you have the Working Station required. So if you want 'em, farm 'em when you have 'em! ;P

You wanna be tough! (trust me)
Toughness directly reduces ALL Damage taken by X%. And i know, all those other Stats look so juicy, but trust me, you will need it dearly if you dont wanna be 1-Hit K.O.ed by the most basic of Monsters later on.
Wanna know for what Resistance is? Dont ask me, no Idea...
Seriously though, i tried with the Trinkets and unequipping the Resistance-Gear i had at the Time, nothing changed with the Damage Values. But might be a Bug soo...
Here a Basic Stat Prio i would Recommend:

1. Toughness (Above all, obviously)
2. Bleed Chance (Highest Damage over Time from the Category, in Comparison Poison is completely useless)
3. Movement Speed (All-Round good, and REALLY a Lifesaver for Fighting)
4. Turbo Chance / Vamp Chance (Turbo is really nice for later on as the AoE's get bigger and bigger while the Time to evade stays the same, if you dont need or want it, go with Vamp for the Life Steal)

With your Weapon you should look out for the Hits per Second, the Damage might be higher but if you are just a few HP short off the kill, a fast hit will kill but 2 seconds till the next is obviously annoying^^

Let's get Legendary!
Most important of all: There are Legendaries to Craft!
How to unlock them? Farm Sawgrass. (No seriously)
Crafting a Legendary is based on finding its corresponding "Special Part" which is one time only find for every Game. But seemingly (dont know if buggy) without finding the very first of those Parts, the other Items can't be crafted even with the parts necessary. (Sounds really buggy but i'll just tell you for Safety Reasons)
And if you're wondering where to find all these Special Parts:

1. Dropped from Sawgrass
2. Somewhere near Tarpits
3. Dropped from Dusk Crystals
4. Fishing (not Legendary but still really good)
5. ?????????????? (I told you still in Progress!^^)

To Move or not to Move, that is the Question.
When progressing the Story, you will Change... well what exactly is never said but let's just say "the Continent".... which makes fast travel to your first Base quite annoying (2-3 Ports to get back there). The Question is, if you wanna move everything, or stay there, and what I Experienced til now is, that moving isn't necessary. At least not all.
If you wanna avoid traveling between the Continents, take your Pets, a Ton of Floors, Walls and Doors to your liking, and build a Second one in the New Area. If you've got a bit of a Stache, a reserve of everything, you shouldn't need to travel between much.

Mark your Spots. (Suggested by eoTehJester)
As you might have already guessed, you will need to farm quite some Things throughout this Game. Knowing where to find what is most important at that, and if you searched through the Crashlands for a bit, you will have noticed crowds of ressources, most commonly regrowing ones, seemingly put there exactly for that purpose. For later finding them again, use Signs which can be crafted early on, and always carry some around with you for various reasons.

Enable the Warp Drive. (Suggested by eoTehJester)
As you Progress through the Game, Warp Points become more and more important as you have to move extreme distances (and you really don't want to walk). So what you wanna have is as many Warp Points as possible. What i like to do is the following, I've made it a habit, that when i farmed ressources or explored, i will go back to my base only under the condition that I am standing next to a Warp Point. It ensures i can return to this exact point without any extra time on walking an already known path, and brings safety for the Progress of the Exploration. Surely you also want to search for a Warp Point if you walked for half an hour without finding one, a tip there is to move in spiral from your current point, as the Warp Points are spread in what seems to me as an irregular but patterned cluster.

Hi Mates, If I buy the game for pc, how do I play it also on the cell phone? Do I have to buy the mobile game again?

you should add in a creature finding guide (a rough area of where they could be found) looking for wat's (the bat things) and rather interested in what else is roaming areas of my hell hole

At Square Lake Baconweed should be Blooming in the Form of an Arrow. Follow it and you will find a really big Lake that is shaped like a Skull, there you will find him

Good guide! Aside from this guide, I need help from you guys with Baconweed Fairy quest. I went to Square Lake and all I'm seeing is nothing. No Old Jaarnal at all.
