Introduction
As with many games, the first thing you are going to want to do is beat the campaign. As you play through the campaign, there will be a number of achievements that will unlock naturally and there will be others which you can actively knock out on your way. After that, you will likely need to replay a number of races and do some mopping up. Then as a final step, you will need to find some friends with the game (or make new ones) to knock out the multiplayer achievements.

Once you unlock the 3rd car in the "Street" category, (the Hessen R 620), start using it. After winning 4 races with it, you will unlock the 5th configuration for the car. By starting to use this car configuration as early as possible, it will prevent you from having to replay too many races to get all the gold medals. See the description for the "True Ignite Fan" achievement at the bottom of this guide for more details.
Passive Campaign Achievements
These achievements will unlock passively just by beating the campaign:

Racer
Win a Race event. (Campaign mode)

Recharger
Win a Run Out event. (Campaign mode)

Last Man Standing
Win a Knockout event. (Campaign mode)

Careerist
Win the Campaign mode. (Campaign mode)
Self-Explanatory Achievements
These achievements are self-explanatory and pretty simple to do, but will require you to actively attempt to meet their requirements. Try to knock off as many as you can while beating the campaign and then mop up any that are left over.

Professional
Win 5 Races in a row. (Campaign mode)

Friendly
Win a Race without hitting any opponents. (Campaign mode)

Deviant
Win a Race with hitting all opponents. (Campaign mode)

Skimpy
Win a Race without using nitro. (Campaign mode)

Spin along
Drift your car through the finish line and win a Race. (Campaign mode)

Afterburner
Drive a lap with continuously burning nitro.

Antiscratch
Win a Race without crasing into the wall. (Campaign mode)

CueBall
Crash into the wall 500 times.

Reversi
Go through the finish line reversed, and win a Race. (Campaign mode)

Dodge Lover
Win a Race without hitting any objects. (Campaign mode)

Spender
Win a Race with burning all your score. (Campaign mode)

Collector
Collect 50.000 points during a Race. (Campaign mode)
Achievements With Caveats & Mop Up
These achievements are also mostly self-explanatory, except some of them have some caveats that aren't explicitly made clear in the description that can cause you to waste your time. Luckily, I will help you prevent that.

Demo & Drift
For the following achievements, you must make sure you aren't using a car configuration that offers any bonus stats for the award you are aiming for. For example, if you are trying to farm "Drift King" titles, you cannot use any car configuration with any drift bonus (be it +10% or +150%). It is OK to use a car with an object-demolition bonus while going for Drift King titles, and vice-versa. Just make sure the car configuration you are using doesn't offer a bonus for the style you are aiming for.

Demolition Man
Earn 3 'Demolition Man' title in a row..

Drift King
Earn 3 'Drift King' title in a row.

Master of Destruction
Gain 100 'Demolition Man' title.

Spinning Wheels
Gain 100 'Drift King' title.

Ice Skater
Collect 4000 points by drifting your car.

Roadblock Hunter
Collect 2000 points by hitting the objects without a break.

Negative Achievements
You may want to mop these up after other stuff as they will be annoying to farm while beating the campaign.

Deficit
Gain 5000 minus points without a break during a Race.
Just keep plowing your car into a wall without breaking contact.

Last Guy
Be the last in the Summary 10 times.
This is done most quickly by coming in last in a knockout race.
The Tricky Ones
Perfectionist
Win at least one Race with all cars. (Campaign mode)
This seems self-explanatory, but it actually has a few caveats. Firstly, you do not need to win a race with each configuration of each car. You only need to win a race with each of the 15 main types of cars and it doesn't matter which configuration you choose for each one. The other caveat is that it appears this achievement will only unlock if you do this in one sitting. This is why I put this in the mop-up section, as it may be annoying to try to farm this while beating the campaign in your initial playthrough.

True Ignite Fan
Win all Gold medals. (Campaign mode)
The trick to making this easy is to use the 3rd car in the "Street" category. The Hessen R 620. Use the 5th configuration, which you will unlock after winning 4 races with the car. This configuration offers "+150% object score." Now do your best in the race and make sure to slam into as many score-granting objects as possible. Even if you don't finish first, if you have a massive score, then you will wind up in 1st place after the score bonus is applied to your time.
Multiplayer Achievements
These are going to be a bit annoying. For one, finding 4 other people with the game who want to play at the same time will be a process, but it is possible. For the "Champion" achievement, you only need 1 friend though.

The kicker is, once you have everyone together, it is going to be very difficult to complete a race without some people losing connection. The good (and odd) thing is, even when people disconnect from one another, they are able to continue racing against the "ghosts" of the other players. It seems like it won't work, but it actually does. So even if your friends disconnect from you, just finish the races and you will be able to get these eventually.

Community
Play a Race against 4 human opponents. (Multiplayer mode)

Champion
Win 5 times in a row. (Multiplayer mode)

4000 points in drifing was a challenge until a friend told me to play the tutorial and keep playing after all lessons are tought. Did that and as there is no time or lap limit you can collect nitro and just drift until you get 4000 points in one go.
