FPS Improvements / Suggestions For Lower End Computers
By Raven
A lot of FPS optimization guides don't account for bad and/or low-end graphics cards. This is a guide that does.

The first segment has to do with Windows 7, you could navigate through Windows 10's Options settings to probably find the same thing.

The second segment is for AMD cards, which is what I use.

My Graphics Card is an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200.

Systematic Optimization for Windows 7
If you're frustrated and you think you have a good graphics card yet you still aren't having good performance OR are having bad fps drops, then you can continue. This may help considering the stuff that runs in the background of your windows.

1. You will NEED Administrator priveledges to do so,
2. Go to your Start button and click Control Panel.
3. Then go to System and Security, specifically the System.
4.Then click View Amount of RAM and Processor Speed.
5. Then go to Change Settings, I recommend going to System Information to see how much Virtual RAM you have on your computer.
6. Then go to the Advanced tab in the System Properties, you'll see Performance and you can start from there.
7. Once you click Settings, you can "Adjust for best performance," this does help a bit on slower CPUs, but can also help recent cpus. Then go to the Advanced tab in the Performance Options.
8. Once you go down to Virtual Memory you can click Change.
9. Uncheckmark the box that says Automatically manage paging file size for all drives, you can from there make a custom size to your liking. It is often good to leave a bit lower than the maximum virtual RAM you have.
10. There ya go. It could very much potentially increase your FPS, and is less extensive on your cpu.

Cheers!
Extra Steps for ATI Radeon Cards (Could Work for Other AMDs)
There's a section in your regedit where you can put your LOD (Level of Detail) lower. If you have an AMD card like mine, it'll help a lot.

If you don't know how to get to regedit, do as following:
1) Go to your Run (Default shortcut is WINDOWS KEY + R)
2) Type in regedit
3) Run it.

The way to edit your LOD goes as follows:
1) Navigate your way to SYSTEM, CurrentControlSet, Control, Video, then find the folder with 0000, 0001, etc. Mine speficially is {1C1AE2BD-4B3D-41AB-AE60-D56CC4EF0E78}The one folder that this WILL not work in is the one with only 0000.
2) Then in the folder with 0000, 0001, etc, you will open the 0000 one which usually has the settings. Then you go to the UMD folder.
3) Now I want you to right click in an empty space below where all of the binaries are at, and create a new Binary Value.
4) Name this Binary Value, LodAdj
5) Now that you've done this, the value will determine your Level of Detail.

Level of Details:
0 - No effect at all.
1 - Slight reduction in Anti-Aliasing and Level of Detail
2 - More reduction in Level of Detail
3 - A good medium for most games
4 - The game starts turning into a Nintendo 64 game
5 - 3D 4 bit game?

And there you have it.
Warning: It may not work for all ATI Radeon cards!
In fact it could even work for some R9 cards.
Extra Stuff for Laptops
Not many people screw around with their power options, and leave some options that could potentiially influence how your gpu and cpu work.

1) In the bottom right corner of your task bar there may be a hidden icon or an icon for your power.
2) Right click the icon then go to Power Options
3) Check the box/circle for which power plan you want, then click Change Plan Settings on the one you're wanting to use.
4) Click Change Advanced Power Settings
5) The main ones you wanna look out for are for any ones that have to do with as follows:
Processer Power Management
Your Graphics Card's Settings
6) Your drivers may not have something for your Graphics Card (like mine) but if it does you'll find it.
7) Processor Power Management, for maximum performance you can set your minimum to 100% and maximum to 100%. Always have the cooling Active at all times.
(Warning: If you do not have a good enough cooling system you may overheat your CPU and you do NOT want this.)
CPU Parking
If the power options did not help your CPU, maybe unparking it will.

To unpark your CPU, do the following:
1) Install a program to unpark your CPU. Don't worry, most of these are from trusted sites, the one I am recommending is listed here: https://bitsum.com/parkcontrol/ a.k.a Park Control by Bitsum
2) It's pretty simple from here. It will automatically unpark based on your power plan, you just gotta press Enable on all of 'em.
3) And you're done. Just restart and stuff.

Archany is probably one of those backlit 1080ti faggots who comment on low-end guides being pretentious and telling people to buy good laptops with money they dont have. (also good guide)

Like I said, there are a lot of people who cannot afford gaming laptops/computers. ._.
Archany 7 Jan, 2016 @ 3:48pm
$120 laptops are for nothing more than basic needs, you shouldnt even consider games on those computers.
Raven  [author] 6 Jan, 2016 @ 11:16pm
For 60 fps? You sure 'bout that? Average $120 laptops can only run csgo in 30 fps.
Archany 6 Jan, 2016 @ 8:10pm
you dont even need a good laptop
Raven  [author] 6 Jan, 2016 @ 8:05pm
Some people don't have the money to buy good laptops or computers m8.
