Mario Kart: The Board Game

Play Tabletop MarioKart with your friends in this original board game designed specifically for Tabletop Simulator!

Players: 2-8
Set-up time: 30 seconds
Play time: ~45 minutes, depends on # of players

This is a hand-made board game built from the ground up for Tabletop Simulator. A friend and I designed every aspect of it. We designed the mechanics, created the artwork, and designed the board, in an attempt to bring MarioKart to the table.

This custom board game includes:

*10 unique custom item cards! Damage friendships!

*A hand-drawn track, Donut Plains 3 from Super Mario Kart returns! Race around your childhood!

*12 awesome characters! Even Waluigi!

*Lap counters! Never lose track!

*Rockin' Donut Plains 3 music from MarioKart8! Whistles a-blowin'!

*Innovative gameplay and rules! Not like any game you've played before!

*Additional ways to play! Shake things up with FRANTIC item distribution, coins, or try out Battle Mode!

The full ruleset is located in the "Rules" section in the Notebook, give it a read before revving your engines. A quick start-up guide;


Before playing, be sure to SHUFFLE both item decks!

1. Everyone choses their character from the character select and places them on the START space. (The space with the checkered flag)
2. There are two phases in the game. The first is MOVEMENT phase. Everyone rolls a die and moves their pieces along the board, at the same time. Then, move on to the next phase.
3. The second phase is the ITEMS phase. All players with items may choose to use their items. These items may take effect now, or during the next MOVEMENT phase. The cycle of MOVEMENT and ITEMS repeats for the entire game.
4. If you land on or pass an ITEM BLOCK space, pick up an ITEM BLOCK card from the appropriate item deck. (Explained in "ITEMS")
5. The first person to pass the finish line 3 times wins the race! (Keep track of your laps with the included bowl of counters)
