You only NEED to clarify the date if both the DD and the MM are either = or < 12
We understand 14/12/xx clearly as December 14th / 14 of December, the 14 gives it away that its the day
But if it was idk 5/11/xx you need to clarify if that is May 11th or November 5th
The ENTIRE WORLD writes the date as DD/MM/YYYY.
but America being America does their own crap.... so yes its weird and wrong.
It may be weird to you, but to us it's not at all. Doing it the other way is weird to us. It's all relative. It's just a regional convention, there is no ultimate wrong or right.
And "righting"? Really?
