After your friends get kidnapped, you must go through a series of game related questions in order to proceed. This guide provides the answers to these questions.

I don't remember, as it's been a while since I played it , but it is WAY after this fight .

As for the fight using the 2 beasts, just spam Bubble Storm and Deadly Sweep Kick until you get a lucky victory. I got my characters maxed out before fighting, but I don't think that changed much.
