When starting a Medium or Hard game (this doesn't work on Wimp difficulty), simply reach the planet without getting hit by a single missile when on the space pod.


As you appear inside the escape pod, you will receive some bonuses depending on your race:

• Human: an enviro-armor.
  
• Alien: 100 evolution points (2 evolution levels).
  
• Android: 1 repair unit and 2 battery extensions.
  
• Psionic: 1 extra set of heat, motion and mass tokens, plus a psionic clarity token (increases your energy capacity).

Here are some tips for reaching Notrium without getting hit:

• Although the escape pod has a very low turning speed, the missiles' turning speed is even lower. Missiles coming behind you can be avoided by making a smooth left-right (or right-left) pair of turns, with just enough amplitude to make the missiles overpass you and become incapable of following your escape pod. Missiles in front of you should be avoided by turning as soon as possible.
  
• Use the map borders to your advantage. As abnormal as it may be, the borders wrap around. That means moving towards the top border will transport you to the bottom of the map. Missiles will not be transported unless you are already close to them.

• Some of these bonuses will actually contain items that can not be achieved any other way, or would take a significant amount of time to obtain. This makes the bonus quite relevant and can sometimes be a game changer. This is especially true for the Psionic.
  
• The alien can start hunting down small blue aliens for evolution points after leaving the hermit's building.
  
• The enviro-armor can be used to regulate your body temperature in harsher environments (e.g. missile base). On the other hand, it may be even more useful to break it for its constituent parts: a power armor and a life support chip.
  
• The repair unit is a primary source of health for the Android, yet not as easy to obtain than health packs of healing plants. Starting with one allows beginners to discover its combination formula by breaking the item (battery + computer unit), along with providing a means of saving your metallic skin in an emergency.
