How to Play : Thatcher

Thatcher is an attacker from the SAS British CTU.
His special gadget is an EMP grenade which when thrown into a room, disables all electronics in the room like ECM jammers, nitro cells etc.
He has medium armour and medium speed.
He has 3 primary weapons:
AR33 - Assualt rifle
L85A2 - Assualt rifle
M590A1 - Shotgun

I would recommend the L85A2 assualt rilfe as it has a higher damage rating which is useful to pin enemies down who are camping or defending. The L85A2 assualt rifle also has a high ammo capacity.The AR33 has decent damage, a higher RPM, but its ammo capacity is not that great and if you are spraying the weapons with a higher RPm and lower capacity, you are going to run out of ammo really fast. The M590A1 Shotgun is not really that practical as having a shotgun as an attacker is basically a huge disadvantage as some of your engagements would be long range. And also, why would you take a shotgun on Thatcher when we have Buck, who has a shotgun on an assualt rifle.

He only has 1 secondary weapon:
P226 MK 25 - Pistol

I would recommend the P226 MK 25 pistol because that is the only secondary weapon he has so we will have to make do with it.

He also has 2 gadgets to carry:
Breaching Charge
Claymore Charge

I would recommend the claymore charge as when you are working with thermite, you will need something to cover your back and a claymore charge is your best bet.
Again all of these selections is personally what I use so you can go with any loadout you want.

Preperation Phase
...............Use your drone and find your objective, nothing to explain here, nothing at all.

Action Phase
Since Thatcher has medium speed and medium armour, I would recommend sticking behind a sheild operater like Blitz or Montagne and use them as cover when entering a room.
You can breach a hole into the wall with your breaching charges and ask the sheild operater to fill in the hole with his sheild while you throw your EMP grenade to disable all possible booby traps your enemies got in store for you.
After that work with your teammates to enter the objective room from different entrances and reach the objective.
Note that Thatcher's EMP grenade cannot deal any damage to anything so do not use this thinking it would deal as much damage as a frag grenade.

Update:You can also help any operator who has breaching capabilities to disable signal jammers on the other side of the wall, so use that to help your teammates when a wall is jammed, especially Thermite.
