This isn't true unless your using a 5-10 year old SSD, all new SSD's especially NVMe m2 drives have been proven in lab tests to last the life of all other components with more than 50GB of writes per day for 10 years on a 250GB SSD, it reaches higher daily transfers depending on the size of the drive, so a new SSD will be more than capable of handling pagefile in an effiecient manner without burning out early, 16GB of ram is a neccesity when running Skylines with workshop but you'll also need to use pagefile, there are a number of disscussions already on the CS steam discussion page where we have highlighted the pros and cons of pagefiles and SSD's
