What is "Spycrabbing"?
Spycrabbing is a gambling game that focuses on Spy's Disguide Kit Taunts. Essentially, there's a chance that the taunt will be a "spycrab" instead of the usuall cigarette flick.

How Do I Spycrab?
The basics of Spycrabbing:

  • (Preferably a third party moderates)

  • Players stand close to one another as Spies with Disguide Kits active

  • Players taunt with their disguise menus and the number of "spycrabs" per player is counted
What Are The Rules?
There are many possible sets of rules in Spycrabbing. It is important to set the rules before beginning the game. These should include:

  • Are spycrabs good or bad?

  • How many spycrabs will end the game?

  • Will the taunting be simultaneous or spammed?

  • What are the items being gambled?

  • Does doing something besides Disguise Kit taunting(disguising, shooting, crouching, etc) count against the score?
How Do I Do This As Safely As Possible?
Firstly, it needs to be said that gambling involves risk. But there are a few things you can do to keep yourself safe and to report those who try to scam you by not paying when you win.

BEFORE PLAYING:

  • Open your Console (~) and type "status"

  • Copy players' SteamID (ex: [U:1:68373722])

  • Paste the SteamID somewhere so you have it saved

  • Open a Trade window and agree to the rules and the wagers (don't actually trade)

  • Screenshot the agreement and save it as evidence

BBQ's Rules
This section is intended to simplify the process of agreeing to the terms of a Spycrab.
"BBQ's Rules" are as follows:
  • First player to three (3) Spycrab taunts is the Loser
  • ANY action other than looking around or taunting with the Disguise Kit counts as a Spycrab Taunt (this includes movement, changing weapons, disguising, taunting without the Disguise Kit, jumping, crouching, Jetpacking, resizing, etc.)
  • Players simultaneously Taunt with their Disguise Kits until one player has Spycrab Taunted three (3) times. In the event of a Tie, players continue the game until one player has Spycrab Taunted one (1) time more than the other. The Loser is the player with the most Spycrab Taunts.
  • Once the game has begun, any player who changes loadout, class, team, server or login state automatically forfeits the game and is the Loser.
  • The Loser must pay the Winner the agreed-upon amount immediately. Any delay in paying the Winner (such as blocking, ignoring, leaving the server, changing name, etc.) is considered intentional failure to pay and a Broken Trade Agreement, punishable by SteamRep report and [SCAMMER] tag.

An example of using "BBQ's Rules" could be:
PLAYER 1: "Do you agree to Spycrab 1 Refined Metal according to BBQ's Rules? I agree."
PLAYER 2: "I agree."

My other guide outlines filing a report as well as gathering evidence. Make your own guide, you skrub. http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=554614262

@Megalo I completely agree and I don't gamble myself. This is a guide in the interest of helping people. It's also my replacement for explaining it every single time someone asks.

@HeroicBlade You're 100% wrong about the official Valve thing. If there is an agreement and it is broken, that is a scam and you can be punished for it. This does mean that the terms need to be set a lot more specifically than most care to do though. With the proper evidence, reporting people for spycrab scamming gets them banned from servers, trading sites and sometimes even Steam Trading altogether. I would recommend thinking before speaking.

Or you could just.. Not spycrab, you know?

Since Spycrabbing isn't exactly an official Valve game, reporting people for spycrab scamming really doesn't do much.

The BEST place to spycrab is in a trade server with good reputation, active admins, and a ruleset for spycrabbing.

Evidence compilation should contain screenshots (and maybe a video) to help support your claim.
