T - Teleport to a new location

This lets you leave your Home (starting point in game) to a few places in the world. Here are a few locations to keep in mind.

Center Island - Player homes. Includes your own when you return from somewhere else or when you log in. When you are at home, click on TAB to allow or deny others to visit you. Once the doors are open, you can use TAB to also control visitors by either kicking them, banning them or muting as needed. Mind you, when you visit other places the same can be done to you so be mindful.

(uncheck box to let others in, if you want to add a password or put in a name for your place other then your own name you can do that here too.)

When you are travelling your home is closed off to all visitors until you return to it.

I - Inventory

This shows you : Level, gold and crystals owned, objects carried on person and appearance. The image above your head is what others see as well as what you see on other players.

Y - Emotes. By holding down Y and selecting an action you perform it for others to see. Some are easy to figure out and some arent.

R - Rewards. Certain resources you collect or destroy earn you points shown in the Reward Screen. Each tier completed earns you progressively more gold starting at 25 for tier 1. Some of these become achievements for your Steam account.

B - Crystal Buying. This is where you can spend real money to buy crystals, the more you spend the more you earn. For example spend 25$ CAD and it earns you over 3k crystals. You can also convert crystals here into gold if you want.

M - Marketplace. You can either spend gold or crystals to buy items here or recipes. If your level is high enough to see an item you can buy it with gold.

Q - Quests. Each time you complete an objective you will be rewarded with gold and/or items. The order in which they are completed is top to bottom with no exceptions, though with some if you have the items in advance it counts towards completion. The quest chain ends with killing a goblin in the dungeons. (warning the wheat growing quest takes a few days to complete without aid)

Supposedly the F key allows you access to the Friend page where you can create and receive mail from new friends. I haven't tried this feature yet and if I can get into the game today (it seems crazy busy that I can't load it up or maintenance is occurring) I will take a closer look at this and update people here on it.
Combat
Here are a few key tips to remember when in a dungeon.

a) You have an aggro range, any creature that enters it will go after you unless its already in combat with someone else. This range does not acknowledge walls or corners so beware.

b) You can either acctack with your pick, or throw rocks/snowballs at enemies to damage them. Range attacks will not harm then unless you have gotten close enough to engage them. Apparently swords and axes exist but I currently have no information on them, but they are likely crafted by sheer luck.

c) The 60 creature count dungeon allows enemies to respawn over time, watch your back !

d) Once in a dungeon you must wait until there are at least 3 players present before a 1 minute timer begins. Once it runs out the doors open.

e) Bosses for the time being are quite impossible to kill without either a massive army of characters present or truckloads of food/potions handy.

f) enemy strength goes in the following order. Green Goblin, Orange Goblin, Red Goblin, Blue Goblin, Blue Golem, Goblin Boss, Yellow Golem, Red Golem

g) Upon death for a few seconds you can spend 1 crystal to respawn. The window is quite short so be mindful.

h) enemies drop xp, gold, food and/or resources when killed. Uncertain if a random player that damaged said enemy earns the kill or the one who damaged it the most. Blue Golems and stronger currently do not give loot.

i) you can if you like stay indefinitely within a dungeon for the time being, unless a respawn finds you while AFK.

j) Armor lowers damage taken but doesnt completely reduce it to 0.

k) You have roughly about 25 seconds upon death to respawn or sit and watch. This is only cut short by the entire party's demise.

l) Pull a Leroy Jenkins at your own risk. People who hold grudges will remember it, and not earn you friends at the very least.
Currency
So far there is only gold and crystals. The more money you spend on crystals the more you earn. I would say anywhere between 15-25$ US/CAD is more then enough to get what you like for now.

Windmills seem to be a great idea to buy a few of, land expansion a close second along with a set of armor. Potions are overkill, healing you a ridiculous 2000hp each (way more then enough) but very much needed to grind above level 11 for the time being.

The Wardrobe allows you to change outfits as well as redo your character (keeping their stats I think) for a price of 200 crystals each time. Additional furnaces and chests can only be bought with crystals.

As your level rises, more items can be bought with gold but crystals can buy you anything at any time.

Bulk purchases also seem to give off a slight discount when buying so keep a close eye on that.

Crafting
There are two forms of crafting, Fixed and Random.

Fixed crafting involves using a Recipe and putting it in the correct spot in the Crafting Furnace. It will show you materials and amounts needed for the item in question, then once thats done click on the green button to craft. The recipe itself will be consumed in the process along with the materials.

Random crafting involves placing one item of each type to be used into the slots without a recipe attached. Once you click on the green button it will ask for confirmation then attempt to make something based on materials selected and amounts in inventory.

For example you put stone and clay in the furnace and click on Random crafting. You own a total of 3 stone and 6 clay, the end result being a brick block is made and your clay is all used up. The more items selected and owned the larger the chance to create something random.

The following items can be made into useful items presently :

Stone, Clay, Lead, Tin, Iron, Iodine, Phosphorus, Coal, Brick Blocks, Certain Machine parts from Market, Gems. Hay, Wood and others I cannot recall at present.

There are some quests that will not accept crafted items completed before quest requires it, be mindful.
Strategy
Whether running a dungeon with allies, or making landfall into a biome to hunt always be aware of your goals. If you are hunting resources the more time that passes the harder it will be to find them, you will need to walk further away from the start in order to find virgin spots to explore or biomes that are empty to improve your chances.

Searching the Billboard (located on starting island in biomes before you jump off), can sometimes give you the items you need as these are sold by players from their Shop Stalls.

Making new friends quickly can often give you new opportunities you might not have considered.

In dungeons stick close to one another and go after ONE enemy at a time, I cannot stress this enough. All it takes is one player with a chip on their shoulder to ruin the run for everyone involved.
Long Term Planning
When able, stock up on resources of all kinds since we are still in very early beta. Take nothing for granted even if its useless now it might be unique later or become much much harder to find.

Tree trunks for example became extinct within 3 days in all forest biomes halting Woodchopping skill in its tracks. You can still cut down leaves for wood fortunately.

If you manage to get to higher levels, save your food and sell it instead. This will let you purchase more items from the Market/Billboard.

Don't go overboard on your home design if you are in dire need of gold. Cut as many corners as possible and it will pay off in the long run.

I do realize that people out there are already aware of these ideas, this section is not for them as its for those that have not thought of these things.
Known Bugs
Food and equipment currently can be used regardless of level requirements so long as you can purchase/earn them.

The currency exchange between US and CAD is presently at 0%

Certain biomes leave you stuck upon entry for some reason, simply quit the game and restart.
About me
I go by the name of Richard Lamarre on Facebook for those looking to friend me, I will not accept everyone so please be mindful of that.

I am currently level 15 in the game, as I bought over 3000 crystals to support the game over a week ago. Hopefully this game holds my attention long enough to take full advantage of that, but either way I dont regret it.

I hope you all come visit my home when I'm renovating in it, rude people will be immediately banned with no warning or regrets so be mindful of your conduct within my home. I don't kick people.

I also hope everyone enjoys the game and take the mentioned information here within properly respecftful boundaries of gaming as it should be. I want everyone to have as much fun as they can, and if they find the game lacking for that to happen Fallout 4 would be more then happy to keep you busy I'm sure.
