Prologue
This guide will show you a 'strategy' as to how you can reach the Nuclear Throne E-Z style. I don't think it actually matters what character you play in order to get to the throne.

The first 5 steps are optional, if you're not very skilled or are new to Nuclear throne I advise you to do them.
Step 1 (optional)
Acquire a screwdriver
Step 2 (optional)
Get to 3-1 (The Scrapyard)
The enemies in The Scrapyard are:

Bandits

Ravens

Basically smart bandits, they shoot 3 bullets in a row everynow and then, so be careful around them.

Assassins

If you have difficulty with assassins it's usually best to have weapons that spray their bullets, like an smg or a shotgun. If you use a weapon that fires in 1 direction and has only 1 stream, the assassin will dodge around the line of bullets.

Snipers

Snipers can be killed with a well timed swing from a melee weapon, preferably a shovel or sledgehammer will do, since a wrench may be just too small.

Fire salamanders

Fire salamanders just need around 2-3 direct shotgun/laser gun shots to be dead.
Step 3 (optional)
Find the golden plated car in 3-1.
Step 4 (optional)
Hit it with the screwdriver, then walk on it and press 'E'. This will take you to the glorious and righteous mansion of Yung Venuz. (If you get confused about the places, it is not where Yung Cuz hangs out, it's where all of the enemies from Gun Godz like to chill).
Step 5 (optional)
Shoot your way to the golden Y.V. chest.
The enemies that you may face in Y.V's Mansion are:

Mole Fish

Pretty much the same as bandits, but a bit more competent so be careful.

Mole Sarge

These guys carry around a shotgun, they're pretty similar to the crocs in the sewers but they are a lot smarter.

Fireballer

They're basically dumb giant bandits.

Super Fireballer

These guys are upgraded Fireballers, they occasionally shoot a stream of fireballs at you if you're in their sight.

Jock

Don't stand in their line of sight for too long, kill them as quickly as you can since all these guys do is shoot missiles at you.

Hopefully if the gods have faith in you, they give you a golden crossbow, shotgun, machine gun or laser gun.
Now you are set (that is, if you did the optional steps)
If you're a MLG pro ultra hardcore player, you probably wouldn't need to do steps 1 to 5, but then again, I don't think a professional player would be reading this guide...
Step 6
You can continue playing that run as long as you've exited Y.V's Mansion, that will store your golden weapon for your character.
Step 7
When you start a new game as the character you played as to get the golden weapon, you have a choice to stick with their stock weapon or the golden weapon. Obviously, since you're reading the guide, use the golden weapon (the weapon hopefully being a shotgun, crossbow, laser gun or machine gun).
Step 8
Once you enter the game, don't kill anything.
You need to look for and open:

The Weapon Chest:

The Ammo Chest:

The Radiation Canister:

Tip:
If The Radiation Canister is Overgrown, leave it till last, since it spawns radioactive maggots and killing them won't spawn big Bandit.
Step 9
And then for another strange reason, Vlambeer decided if you kill Big Bandit fast enough a portal opeans to the Oasis. The reason (if you did the optional steps) you got the golden weapon was to make it easier for yourself to kill Big Bandit.

It's usually best to get really close up to him and then try to run before he charges at you or shoots you, hopefully he doesn't because you killed him quick enough.
Step 10
Welcome to the Oasis! My least liked place because the Hermit Crabs are the worst enemies Vlambeer ever decided to produce.
The enemies you face in the Oasis are:

Bandit

Bonefish

These guys run up to you and deal contact damage, so you should just mow them down with a machine gun or assault rifle, the slugger isn't always best on these guys since they seem to group up a lot.

Hermit Crab

On the other hand, the slugger is great for these guys since it kills them in one shot. I never really knew how to dodge these guys attack patterns, they shoot V-shaped bullets similar to the Scorpion's. They're like, if a scorpion had a baby with a golden Scorpion and this is the irritating result.
Step 11
After you beat the Oasis, you come to 3-3. The Big Dog level. E-Z amirite?
Here you face all the enemies you see in Step 2
BUT
There is Big Dog:

You just shoot him with a crossbow, shotgun or laser gun, they're usually pretty good at dealing with him.

You just need to dodge his dumb missiles:

Occasionally they blow up and drop mini ammo crates or health pickups.
Also, you have to dodge his spinning attack that shoots a curly line of projectiles, which suck if you're not Crystal, Eyes or Fish. Sometimes it helps to have a melee weapon with you at this point, but that's only if you want to be extra safe.
Step 12
After killing everything in 3-3 and defeating Big Dog, you reach the Crystal Caves, a pretty silly place if you ask me.
The enemies within the Crystal Caves are:

Bandits

Crystal Spiders

With very jittery movement, it can sometimes be annoying to fight these things, especially if you have poor aim (playing as steroids) and you're using a crossbow agains them. A bullet weapon is often effective against these enemies.

These are slow moving enemies that idly float around, but if you are in their line of sight, they will freeze and turn red:

They will shoot a small barrage of lasers in your direction, which can most often easily be avoided. However, because of Crystal Caves, it wouldn't be Crystal Caves without the cobwebs all over the floor. The cobwebs obviously hinder your movement speed, which is often why the Crystal Caves can be a game ender for some.
If you have the Third Leg Mutation, the cobwebs will not slow you down.

Found within the Crystal Caves here and there are Cocoons, which ultimately serve no purpose. However, cocoons could exist to punish those with trigger happy tendencies:

Most of the time, when these are shot, nothing happens, you shoot the cocoon, big whoop, you broke something. Yet, there are chances that the cocoon can contaion a gator:

Which shouldn't be too hard, unless you weren't expecting a gator...
Even worse is that there's even a chance that a buff gator could be in the cocoon:

and if so, good luck with that...
Step 13
After that, you reach the Frozen City.
The enemies that occupy the Frozen City are:

Snow Bandits

Snowbots

If you are close enough or in their line of sight, they will look as if they're flying towards you, but actually they're sliding towards you at like mach 20. (next time you reach the Frozen City, just watch them chase you, they look like they're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ flying).
Snowbots are usually easy, if you've got a shotgun, crossbow or splinter gun. If there is a frozen car nearby, a snowbot may pick it up and look menacing with it, kill them quickly or they will absolutely pound you into the ground.

Robot Wolves

Same goes for Robot Wolves, easily killed with Shotguns or crossbows.

Snow Tanks

These guys need 3 crossbow bolts to die, unless you have the 'Scary Face' mutation. Snow tanks explode on death so be careful how close you are to them. They occasionally drop around 1-2 pickups.

And rarely, Golden Snow Tanks

Golden Snow Tanks are really beefy Snow Tanks, they shoot the same stream of bullets but also sometimes shoot missiles when they feel like it, which sucks.
Step 14
Once you reach 5-3, the last level of the Frozen City, you need to be careful.
5-3 is the home of Lil' Hunter:

I've never really known a strategy when it comes to Lil' Hunter, but I'll try my best.

If you spawn out in the open, gg.

It's best that you spawn in a small hallway with corners.
After around 10 seconds in from spawning, a shadow appears where Lil' Hunter will land, then you may see him fly on the screen from bottom to top. When he lands, a ring of blue flames will appear and go outwards, so try your best not to be so close to him when he lands.

The corners and hallways help since Lil' Hunter shoots straight lines of bullets and sometimes explodes with smg bullets.

Often times, it's helpful to run around 5-3 to try and kill everything before Lil' Hunter arrives so you have a sort of 'battleground' to face him.

The most helpful weapons to take down Lil' Hunter would be (only listing weapons possible to get before 5-3):

Laser Rifle

Quick auto-firing laser rifle.

Flak Cannon

Especially effective if you have the Shotgun Shoulders mutation.

Eraser

Similar to the Flak Cannon, but there is no explosion.

Assault Slugger

Fires 3 slugs in one shot, good for those that have bad aim, since you get 3 chances to hit Lil' Hunter.

Crossbow

Comes with sight, so you can aim at Lil' Hunter.

Heavy Crossbow

Slower reload than normal crossbow, but it fires one large bolt that does more damage for the price of 2 bolts.

Auto Crossbow

Good for the trigger happy folk with bad aim.

Splinter Pistol

It's a bit like a shotgun crossbow that shoots 4 bolts with a quick reload time.
Step 15
The Labs is a pretty easy area (unless it's looped lmao) so you shouldn't have that much difficulty at this point.
The enemies in the Labs are:

Turrets

If you see a turret take it out as soon as you can.

Freaks

The freaks are a bit like bandits, but they just run at you and deal contact damage.

Explo Freaks

The Explo freaks are just like freaks but with less health and they explode on death, so it is advised you kill them from a distance.

Rhinofreaks

Rhinofreaks are giant hulking beasts with lots of HP, so it's usually best you have something like a hyper rifle or a laser cannon with you to take them out.

Necromancers

Necromancers are the source of the freaks, this level will go on forever until you kill the necromancers.
Step 16
After leaving the Labs, you come to The Palace. The Palace is a pretty rad place, but it does have some insane enemies.
The enemies you face in The Palace are:

Bandits

Guardians

Big tough rad dudes, they shoot large, slow moving projectiles and don't have a great amount of health.

Explo Guardians

These guys suck kind of, they move around at medium speed and if they see you, they lie on the ground and have a 2 second delay and shoot a large fast circle of quick projectiles at you. You need to kill them pretty quickly because if you don't, they become a hassle. When you kill them, they leave a slow ring of projectiles which are more easy to dodge than when they shoot them normally.

Dog Guardians

The Dog Guardians have to be one of my other least favourite enemies, next to the Hermit Crabs from the Oasis. They have way too much health and jump around like crazy, you need a fast shooting weapon which somehow stuns them or a high damaging weapon if you want these to be hassle-free.

The I.D.P.D.
Sometimes, there's a random amount of I.D.P.D enemies that spawn in The Palace, I remember one time I entered The Palace and none spawned at all, I actually waited for them to spawn, but they didn't lmao.

The Grunt

These guys have magic future assault rifles and die pretty quickly.

The Inspector

These guys have a magic future telekinesis power that pulls you and they also have a magic future slugger, these guys are also pretty easy to kill, if you've got a crossbow or something handy.

The Shielder

These guys have a magic future machine gun with a magic future shield power which is pure bs. Use crossbows or laser rifles to bypass the shields. Be careful with these guys too, they have quite a chunk of health and have pretty competent AI.
Step 17
AND IT IS AT THIS POINT, THAT YOU REALISE THIS IS YOUR FINAL DESTINATION (or is it?).
You reach 7-3, the level that houses The Throne.

It is at this point you should have hold of a pretty high damage output weapon, fast firing, low damage aren't great for this fight.

Usually, the best weapons (In my opinion) are:

Assault Slugger

Fires 3 slugs in one shot, Fairly average reload speed.

Flak Cannon

A bit like a hybrid of the Cluster launcher and Slugger.

Super Flak Cannon

It's just a souped up version of the flak cannon.

Gatling Slugger

It's just an automatic slugger that shoots faster, what could go wrong?

Wave Gun

Shoots in a V-shape with 16 pellets, pretty noice, concidering it only consumes 2 ammo per shot.

Super Slugger

Shoots 5 slugs per shot, but it does eat up ammo quite a bit.

Grenade Shotgun

Grenade launcher + Shotgun = A spray of grenades which wrecks shop.

Cluster Launcher

Basically shoots grenades with grenades inside it. When a grenade comes into contact with the throne (or one of the large generators) the grenades inside will also blow up.

Laser Minigun

Laser weapons are only really good for fighting the throne when you have the 'Laser Brain' mutation.

Laser Rifle

It's a slower Laser Minigun

Nuke Launcher

It fires nukes.
Characters(spoilers, maybe?)
This section will show you characters that are fairly good at getting to the throne, in my opinion, of course. I'm just saying that there is spoilers since people may not know some of the characters here.

Fish

HE CAN ROLL GUYS, GUYS HE CAN ROLL, HE'S A GOOD CHARACTER. Not only that, but he gets extra ammo from pickups, walking over weapons and ammo chests.

Crystal

She makes the fight with big dog even easier since she can sheild projectiles.
Tip: When you're in the Crystal caves, don't shield when a laser crystal charges because the laser goes right through your shield.

Eyes

He makes the fight with big dog easy too, but there is a consequence. He can slow and deflect projectiles, but he pulls enemies in, so be careful in the Crystal Caves, Oasis and Frozen City

Y.V.

He has the highest rate of fire, so reload speed on shotguns and crossbows are shorter. Y.V. can also shoot two bullets at once, but that's only effective from weapons like cluster launchers or assault sluggers.

Robot

When a level ends and the portal opens, try and avoid it and look around for any weapons you missed and eat them. This especially helps if you lose HP a lot.

Steroids

He can shoot both of his weapons at the same time and every weapon is automatic. However, the downside is that he is less accurate.

Horror

Each time you level up, you have an extra choice for mutation, giving you a higher chance of getting better mutations. Horror also has the radiation beam, which is good if you eat ammo up quickly.
Mutations that are good and stuff.
These mutations are pretty good when they're together:

Bloodlust:

Allows a 7.69% chance to give you +1HP when you kill an enemy.

Boiling Veins:

You don't take damage from explosions or fire when below 4HP.

Second Stomach:

Healthpacks heal twice as much as before.

Euphoria:

Enemy projectiles are slowed down by 20%.

Gamma Guts:

Any enemy that touches you takes damage.

Laser Brain:

All weapons that require energy do more damage.

Open Mind:

More chests spawn in each level.

Plutonium Hunger:

Gives you a larger range for pickups and rads.

Rabbit Paw:

More pickups will appear

Scarier Face:

All enemies have less HP (Synergises well with Laser brain)

Recycle Gland:

Any bullet that hits any enemy has a 60% chance to return +1 bullet type ammo/

Shotgun Shoulders:

Shells shot from any weapon that requires shells travel further.

Strong Spirit:

Gives you 1/6 of a second of invincibility when HP is lowered to 1.

Back Muscle:

Allows you to carry more ammo. (Good for shells or energy, or when you use miniguns)

Impact Wrists:

Enemies that are killed now travel further, which can also kill other enemies.
Epilogue
I hope this helped any unskilled or new players of Vlambeer's 'Nuclear Throne'. This game is a blast and I hope they make it even better in the future. Thank you for one of my favourite games Vlambeer.

Thank you for taking your time to read my guide, this is the first one I've ever made, and I hope it wasn't too bad.
