So called village means there're would be some man-made 'artifacts', both sides of the roads would be not many flowers, or square shape, at least. But your suggestion is true, we can add more bushes at the edges.

I really like the way everything is set out, the different tiers, the foliage blends in nicely. Not a bad job at all, i like the little swamp are too. but as a suggestion, i'm assuming it's a forest area, maybe add more bushes, flowers and generally more clutter to make it seem more like a forest
