This Section will teach you on how to install Mickey's Edutainment Series in your Math Rescue Folder.

1. First Create a new Folder where Math Rescue is installed called Disney, then in the new folder, make 3 new folders: MICK123, MICKABC & READER.

2. The Links to Download these 3 are different for each installation.
NOTE: Mickey's 123 for the MS-DOS PC is REALLY DIFFICULT to find on Amazon & Ebay.

3. Change the Following in your MATH DosBox Config File:

Story:
The goal is to help Mickey organize a surprise birthday party for one of his friends. He has to go to a toy store to buy a present, buy food at the supermarket, and choose who to invite. Each of these activities are full of opportunities for number lessons. By the time the party is over, kids will likely be able to count from one to nine, and recognize what each number looks like. If they need more practice, they can always organize another party for another friend in the Disney town.

2. After you click on the download link shown, Extract the files into your MICK123 Folder where Math Rescue is installed.

3. Open Math Rescue and select Option 4. which will lead to your C Command Prompt.

4. Enter CD DISNEY, CD MICK123 then SETUP to configure Mickey's 123's The Big Surprise Party on DOSBOX. Be sure to set Both SFX & Music to Sound Blaster, and the Graphics to VGA then save and exit.

5. Finally, enter MICKEY to start Playing Mickey's 123's The Big Surprise Party on DOSBOX.

6. Have Fun & be sure to let the Extra Memory Pre-Load first.

7. If you want to switch back to Math Rescue, change the Following in your MATH DosBox Config File:

In-Game Controls:
Spacebar = Pause Game/Resume Game

When you start the game, Mickey is fast asleep. To wake him up, press a number key then the sheep will be counted & he'll wake up.
Sheep Count:
0 = Instant Wake-Up
1-9 = 1-9 Sheep


=Stage Select=
Then he'll tell you who the Surprise Party is for then he'll walk out the door to the crossing. Next you'll have 3 activites to choose from. (Option 4 will appear later as you play the game when you have at least one of each requirement met) Then you can give Mickey something to ride on by pressing a number Key.

=Toy Factory=
At the Toy Factory, you can make 1 of 9 different toys or you can make all of them by using your number keys. After you select a Toy to create, you can use the number keys to polish up the toy. Once all the Toys are built, the Activity will be completed.

=Market=
At the Market, you can buy 1 of 5 different items using your number keys which must match the same amount of items you selected. Once all the items are purchased, the Activity will be completed.

=Post Office=
At the Post Office, you can invite any 8 of Mickey's friends (since 1 of them is already invited, you can't select him/her) using your Number Keys or you can return to the Stage Select by pressing 0. Once Everyone is invited, the Activity will be completed.

=Party=
This option becomes unlocked when you have at least 1 Toy Created, 4 items purchased & 1 Guest Invited. You can press 4 to go to the Party or when all 3 Activites are completed. At the party, you'll need too distribute the food to each of the guests. Next, comes the dance with the guests you invited. Then Mickey will go to sleep & you completed the game! You can choose to play again by pressing a number key to wake Mickey or press ESC twice to exit to MS-DOS.

Story:
In this educational game you can give Mickey Mouse order to do stuff, by selecting keywords in sentences. It is something like "Then he eats an apple" where eat and apple are your chosen words. You can also let him skip, run, walk to different locations in the house. The game is some kind of progress in it. You can dig a hole, plant seeds, water seeds, to get flowers you can pick.
Later on in the game you can give these flowers to Minnie, when you call her up to come by, etc. It's quite entertaining for the kids.

3. Open Math Rescue and select Option 4. which will lead to your C Command Prompt.

5. Finally, enter READER to start Playing Follow the Reader on DOSBOX.

Since this is a "Day in a Life" simulator. It's very simple. You have a list of things that mickey can do depending on your settings. You can use your mouse or keyboard to choose a word for your sentence and select it for the outcome (Ex. "He looked in the mirror".). The Duration of the game is an entire day with different outcomes in the sentences you create.
