Making the Apocalypse Easier and General Survival stuff
By BE617
So the apocalypse is tough, that's a given, but this game can make it a bit too tough, so we'll make it easier by making it more realistic...somehow.

Zombies... Zombies Everywhere
So your life as a -insert job here- has come to an end via the zombie apocalypse, now you begin your stuggle for survival in the post apocalypse.
Realism: First Thing's First
Too many Zombies? Go to Settings, then difficulty, and set Zombie Flow and Zombies in locations to Low. This will make things easier but not too easy, now there won't be a horde waiting for you in every building.
I recommend making a lot of custom stuff, occupations (soldier, pharmacist, student, etc.) items (military gear, canned foods, chainsaw, etc.) but keep realism in mind when doing all this.
Now, with doing all this, I've only beat one game... this game does everything in its power to kill you. You have been warned.

The Walking Dead
What kind of Zombies are these?
The zombies in this game don't seem to adhere to any specific type, but good news, they can't run. So they seem to be classic Romero zombies with a penchant for mutilation, and oddly enough, somehow getting into locations from third or second floor entrances (we'll address that later).
HOWEVER it seems you DON'T have to destroy the brain to kill them, although it is the most effective way to do so.
The Infection itself spreads through contact with the infected, mainly through bites, but can be contracted through cuts and even bruises (somehow).
The Town
In the game, your group is ALWAYS in some sort of small town, which ranges from suburb to like a middle of nowhere type town, but every town has the following:
1 Police Station
1 Hospital
At least 1 House
At least 1 Store
At least 1 Warehouse
At least 1 Factory
There's usually a school as well, but not always
Buildings and Loot
Buildings and their loot vary considerably, but here is a general outline of them based on my experience:

House:
Number of Entrances: Low (6-15)
Zombies inside: 0-2 (Low) 0-4 (Standard)
Loot: Food (Common-Always) Tools (Common) Weapons (Occasionally) Armor (Occasionally) Car Parts (Uncommon)

Shop:
Number of Entrances: Low (4-8)
Zoombies Inside: Low (0-3)
Loot: Food (Common) Tools (Common) Medicine (Uncommon) Weapons (Uncommon) Car Parts (Rare)

Police Station:
Number of Entrances: High (20-30)
Zombies Inside: High (6-20)
Loot: Weapons (Always) Armor (Always) Tools (Uncommon) Food (Uncommon) Medicine (Uncommon) Car Parts (Occasionally)
This is a W.I.P.
future contents include, but are not limited to: Game Modes/ Stories, Game Logic (That doesn't always make sense), Relationships, Basic Survival, Locations and Loot, Advanced Survival
Suggestions are welcome, remember these are just suggestions, play how you want to.

just to overthink this a bit: This can be answered by micro cuts. cuts on the skin so small we neither notice nor see them. Well all have them all the time, and lots of them. So if it was small enough, it could definitely spread through brief contact almost like a poison though that works because they can absorb through the skin into all those tiny blood vessels.
