Server Settings Panel Explained

This guide takes a detailed look at the Server Settings panel, an important and valuable menu when hosting your own Storm United server.

Core Settings

  • Server Name – Your server name; how it will appear in the server list. Windows Default: TestEdittingServer, Linux Default: DevLinuxServer
  • Server Passcode – Password to connect to your server. Default: None
  • Admin Password – Password for the server settings panel in-game. Default: 55555
  • Player Limit – Maximum player limit for your server. Default: 14
  • Auto Balance At – Teams auto-balance once one has # more than the other. Default: 2
  • Friendly Fire – Teammates may inflict damage on each other. Default: Disabled
  • Enable Voting – Player map voting. If disabled, server will follow map rotation. Default: Enabled
Game Mode Settings

  • Match Time Limit - Total duration for match. Default: 10 minutes
  • Round Time Limit - Total duration for each round.
  • Round Limit - Maximum amount of rounds in a match.
  • Team Score Limit - Once a team reaches this score, the match ends.
  • Frag Limit - Once an individual kills this many players, the match ends.
  • Score Limit - Once an individual reaches this score, the match ends.
  • First/Second Half - Splits match into two different halves.
Note: Any changes here will affect all matches set in the Map Rotation tab.
Map Rotation


This is where you set the map rotation for your server. The map order may be changed by clicking the right and left arrow keys. You may also deleted certain maps by clicking the X button. To add a new map, scroll all the way to the right and click the Add Match button. Once you are done configuring, click the Apply Changes button to save the complete rotation. The green box represents the current active match.
Setup Custom Match


Custom matches may also be created on your server. First, select the map. Second, select the game mode and then configure the specific game mode. Once you are done, click the Arm Custom Match button. Once armed, you may then click the Force Next Match button, located just below the Setup Custom Match tab. This will end your current match and start your new custom match. If you would like further revise the custom match, simply click the Unarm Custom Match button and continue configuring. Please note that only one custom match may be set at any given time.
