This mod adds a stance that allows ranged units to fire farther at the cost of doing less damage.

The idea of only pure ranged units having long range makes sense, due to the volume of fire thing. Volume of fire isn't enough for non-range specific units to have long distance missiles/projectiles do much of anything.

These are my opinions, but you could use them to explain your design. :)

Also, axemen shouldn't have long ranged, since you just can't throw an axe very far.

Archers should do a bit more damage at long range (more accurate), while slingers could be in the middle. Javelins might have a bit reduced range (amentum/ankyle vs. slingers... which is actually longer range? probably the rock - just inferring).

These suggestions might imbalance the game though (unless expensive ranged units like archers are sucky already), but then again, just having this stance will probably change the tactics.

It adds a stance ranged units can switch to where they shoot farther but do less damage.

It shows up for any units with the rangedinfantry or javelineer stancetypes: this includes most ranged units, but not principes or other units that have a melee focus with ranged abilities coming as a bonus.

Installing this mod shouldn't break saves. If you do have it active and then deactivate it later, though, saves where units were in this stance might have trouble loading.

who does this stance go for? or is it all range units?
